If we would have spent the collective energy we have used on this post for good we could have helped the original poster to attain the over powered blocker. He would finally be immune to those pesky Kor'Zok, thus effectively stopping everquest from coming to an end!
The Kor'zoks AE makes anyone not flagged from the previous expansion not able to kill a named. Since when did a stupid flag from an expansion prior influence the current expansion in the group game? Never.
Well if by "FLAG" you mean needing the gear from the previous expansion to kill names easier in the current expansion you describe the basic premise of the game. And If you played during Gates of Discord and Omen of war, the one expansion was pretty much unbeatable till the next came out and increased levels and gear. And PS you can still kill the Karzok without the blocker its just a lot harder, again like not camping a better weapon or piece of gear.
Despite the marketing to make it appear as something it isn't, this wasn't really a separate expansion. This is merely part 2 of last year's expansion, and they charged you a lot for it. The real question is: Why are people expecting that they SHOULD be able to beat the latest expansion without beating the previous ones? I can assure you, your toon is missing a lot more than just EotD if you aren't finishing the previous expansions.
Way to go! You love to exaggerate everything don't you. You can kill a good 90% of the named in Ring of Scale and EoK. They're not all Kar`Zok. All this time you've been complaining about it, you could have done a single task every *TWO WEEKS* since EoK was launched and you'd be done EotD1. If that's too hard for you... Just wow. Oh, and you can most certainly kill the Kar`Zok even without EotD1. Situational awareness is killer. Learn how it their abilities work.
Probably because it's never been required before and most casual people never complete expansions to begin with. What, you thought most people actually completed expansions in the past before moving onto the next one? I can tell you - they didn't. You were right the first time, though. This isn't a separate expansion. They no longer have the financial ability to push out a single expansion with four tiers of content. So instead they split it into two.
