Enforced Raid Rotations Come to an End

I believe darth and yawg just went to town on FO, and even removed them from "rotation" in a fit of rage because they used . Lollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll great "leader" of the rotation. Lets see what happened to yawgmouth, I'm betting nothing.

When are we instancing raids, again?

I'd be surprised if it takes that long. They're probably at the daybreak office staring at the threads we got going on about Lockjaw like "You know what'll fix this?" Don't Fing say it man don't even say it...

It wont happen today but I expect them eventually. Roshen might be saying they wont happen on Ragefire and Lockjaw but given Daybreak's track record of flip-flopping worse than a politician it seems inevitable.

I don't think they've said instancing won't happen, rather that there is no plan for it, which is a non-answer. I know there are people leaving Ragefire over the congestion in the end game. An announcement sooner will prevent more damage to our servers population.

They've said they were NOT going to instance servers. The developers felt very strongly about leaving the raid content open world as that was in the spirit of Everquest.

I am too lazy to find it right now but I'd say this was said approximately 2 - 6 weeks after servers launched shortly after /pickzone was introduced, possibly was even said on Holly's tweeter and not on these forums but I am 110% sure it was said.

They said that a long time ago. Daybreak has changed their mind about many things so I wouldn't be surprised to see them change their mind again.

well it appears the new server will have full blown instancing...if they dont bring that to ragefire and lockjaw, i really dont know what they are thinking

True. Though then I could go back to raiding with people I like in a setting that doesn't require me to have to stand up for myself to some pompous power tripping moron just to raid 16 year old content for nostalgia.

I would to, but they won't do it before the no box server, which is at least kunark for us. I expect they'll play it out on there, see how it works. Test some bugs, and then release it to us. So sometime during kunark, but definitely at least by velious.

On the other hand they may use our servers as the test bed to ensure they fix the major bugs before they hit the no box server.

By the same token they could just push them to Live servers too - no doubt once done Live will get them as well, really no reason not to.

The only reason I don't think they would do that is because they want people to go to the new server... And the instanced factor will drag a lot of people there.

Not only will the advertising draw former or new players to the new server, but Ragefire and Lockjaw will be adversely impacted. I currently raid with one of the guilds. I will probably leave for uncontested content. I didn't come back for the teenage drama or a bottleneck. I came back to have fun with "friends." I'm pretty sure that many people will find this more attractive. It would be nice to have full access to all raid targets each week.

I sincerely hope that full instancing makes it to the current TLP servers. People have months invested in their characters, and it would be nice to continue without all of the current drama. Leave the open world spawns FFA for those so inclined, and give the rest of us the opportunity to experience the content we can handle.

And instance ALL raid content.
