Enforced Raid Rotations Come to an End

It’s been a few months since enforced raid rotations started on Ragefire and Lockjaw. During this time, player response to raid rotations has been mixed. Some parts of this rotation may have increased access to content for players and guilds. Unfortunately, this also created situations where some players could exclude other players from accessing content that they would normally be able to enjoy with a few of their friends.

After many discussions with the team, we believe ending enforced raid rotations is in the best interest of the progression server community. We appreciate that players and guilds are working together to share the raid content on their servers, and we encourage you to continue to talk and compromise with the players on your servers. We believe players can resolve disputes about camps and raid bosses between each other. Game Masters and Guides will not be able to assist in negotiating disputes between players and guilds.

As mentioned in the first announcement on this, the player community we have in EverQuest is something that makes us unique and special. While you explore Norrath and compete for raid bosses, remember that we’re all part of the same community that enjoys playing EverQuest together. As the communities on Ragefire and Lockjaw continue to develop, there’s a great deal of value in working to get along with the other players on your server.

Should have never gotten involved and kept players out of an entire zone like posky on lockjaw. Did not belong.

Now that Croak can go to posky, does that mean he'll start selling idols to rotation guilds again?

This is the best news since the original DPS race post that brought people to this server.

Oh I'm sure but there will be those people who come in later and claim "OMG I never saw that!?!?! What is going on!". Figure it will prevent that from being an excuse in the future.

I can't wait to see how many pages this is at by morning though!

Now instead of several large groups of people getting content once a week or so you can enjoy never seeing it or join one massive guild with too many mouths to feed. Just hope we keep our rotation on LJ since several of the larger guilds wanted to have a rotation well before they were enforced.

Was a Ragefire guild that pushed them to this. Unless Apok is running around on LJ under a diff name.

I must say Daybreak, you're flip-flopping like politicians as of late. You start out by making something to help resolve the issue with raid congestion (which is a huge issue still) only to throw it out the window when it's working? Let's cater more to the idiots that sit in PoHate with 3-4 actual people with 6 toons each waiting for things to spawn. The funny thing is they aren't even full mage boxes anymore, now they are full groups that are using + scripts to kill things. It really shows how blind you are to what actually happens in raid zones.

TLP was fun while it lasted. Much like EQ live was....

We on Lockjaw can get back to productive rotations that benefit those who have earned what they ask for and civil discussions regarding rotation issues.

For those sentenced to Ragefire that did not escape when the cell door was open I guess you will be able to raid classic during PoP.

I shall go back to buffing newbs and giving away FS weps and chain drops to the lvl 1's.

Oh, and kicking Naggys (censored) in 11 minutes flat from spawn to dead.
