I feel like I'm under utilizing this. Where should I be using it? Or do you always buff the group with this? Only in raids? Only in certain zones? Certain missions? Thanks, I really need to find better ways of researching the basics. But I do appreciate the help I get here, even on my more remedial questions.
I was under the impression that any saving throw buff wasn't worth the time. Most group mobs do not use corruption (and most group dds/dots are -1000 resist adjust). And on raids, isn't everything flagged unresistable?
Corruption is important in a few expansions. Think it was added for SoD. Group Progression mission: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=36350 Here is a raid mob that uses it: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=32342 Not everything in raids is flagged unresistable. It is in the example above. This resist spell is something that you generally will not use at all except in very specific fights. If something kills you and you look up the mob entry and find that it uses corruption, go fight it a second time with the resist buff. Otherwise forget about it. You're not under utilizing it. The developers are.
True, I guess I Was referring to recent content. I can't speak for all older content, but playing through it in group content I don't remember a spot where a corruption buff was make or break it.
