With the lower population, Heirloom would be super beneficial! DBG can go ahead and implement Oakwynd in it's entirety, but Heirloom at the very least would be nice <3

I missed Oakwynd. Can you elaborate on what this suggestion would do?

Heirloom allows players to pass no drop items through shared bank to alts.

they could have made this server so cool :(

heirloom with vanikis level rec on gear and no level req. that would be fun.

That's what I thought. Why do that? Nobody wants to be in a krono farm, why would they want to be in a gear farm?

With Personas does Heirloom really matter anymore?

My main accounts were a Druid and Enchanter, Each account has a cleric...when farming Kael for Armor it was nice to pass along the plate drops to my clerics. as an example.

Teek has free trade loot. Even better than heirloom. Play on Teek.

Server stands as is. Nothing to change. You asked for it you got it. Just like Agnarr.

No changes to Tormax outside of shutting it down to save server side resources.

At the very least because DP insists on making potions in the 'packs' no trade. So if you claim it on a caster you're going to waste the haste pot. If you claim it on a melee you'll waste the caster pots.

Had a similar situation on TLP years ago. Petitioned about it and they moved them for me.

I did not enjoy Heirloom, most of the time all it seemed to be used for was people selling DZ loot to lvl 1's in order to avoid locking out the actual character that would use it.

It was not a good addition overall imo

what do you mean "most of the time?" you have stats on how every player used heirloom between their chars? and this affected you negatively?
  14. Intercept Augur

It seemed to primarily be used by lvl 1's to buy raid gear without locking their main out of DZ's.

These level 1's def used shared bank to give raid gear to the characters who would use it.

Negative impact? Well it was annoying for one and likely an unintended use of heirloom for another, but it's hard to know what people will do with features so imo not a good addition at all

The intent of Heirloom was to not waste time. Gear that would otherwise rot, now has a purpose. That's literally the entire concept of heirloom..

Side-bonus is that it didn't force people to play classes at raids that they're not very good at, just to get 'geared'.. now they can bring their top-performer class, and potentially gear out their baby characters. Personally, it made me enjoy/learn the sides of EQ that i've otherwise always avoided.

This should have less to do with heirloom, and more to do with how lockouts were handled on oakwynd. On a normal server your aoc lockouts are account wide. On oakwynd they were not.

Good point, had accounts been locked out rather than characters I doubt the whole heirloom thing would have been abused so badly and just been used to swap previously used gear to other alts
  18. Gheed Augur

I would have to disagree. It was mainly used by guilds to have a second set of characters that they could swap gear to and then reclear all the raids. If you were in a guild that didn't do this, it was a bad guild on Oakwynd.

I am also not sure how buying an item on one character that you can use on your other character was "likely an unintended use of heirloom". I think thats like the main point of heirlooms, have you ever played WoW?
