Eat a Krono for exp?

    no, just no

Krono are not a problem, we don't need more things that Krono can be used for and we don't need silly restrictions. FYI a Krono is worth 30 days of play time for all 4 All Access games

Experience is not that hard to get in game and power levelers are only an issue in a few zones in early TLP servers anyway. There's no problem being solved by proposals like this

    Here is my idea.

They sell an item in the cash shop that puts a buff on you, and all XP earned is stacked up instead of going to your character. After the buff expires you get an item back with all the experience inside of it. Then you can sell it to others to consume the XP or pass it to one of your alts.

Krono is 100% the problem. It was meant so people without the funds could use in game funds to buy game time, while allowing those with funds outside of the game and limited time to get in game currency. The problem is the system got abused by people that use RMT. I would wager that most Krono by a large margin isn't being used to keep accounts active and is being cycled (used basically to launder) plat into RMT. Krono isn't just being used for power leveling it's being used just as much to buy loot and loot rights.

Putting a timer on it lowers it's buying power significantly and keeps people from stockpiling thousands (and yea I have seen thousands on a trade window from on of the "casino" people) to sell on 3rd party sites which is what keeps the cycle alive. It stops economies from being based on the Krono, it would slow down the power levelers and the loot sellers. If they can't make real money off it then again I would wager they wouldn't be doing it. The oy other thing they need to change is the price of the Krono in the marketplace. As it needs to be more inline with sub price and the perks.

Buying loot and loot rights is exactly what Krono is designed for.

Thinking otherwise is a YOU problem not a KRONO problem

It's a YOU problem, not a KRONO problem

You can buy them from DGC using real money, buy them from other players using in-game currency, gift them, sell them to other players for in-game currency, trade them to other players for other in-game items, and consume them. If you consume a Krono, it is removed from your inventory and 30 days of game membership time is added to the account associated with the character that consumed it.

It's right there in the FAQ

People being triggered by adults trading money for playtime/items/currency etc just need to let go of the balloon.

If they allow us to "buy" levels by consuming krono (again trading time granted from the sub for the levels up front via Krono) who cares?

I hate this but yes it would work. It would have to be a 3 month timer at a minimum though. But yes, Krono expiration date is a good idea...

I’d be willing to bet most people on tlp don’t buy krono with real money lots of people do have them though from previously trading for them. You can easily level up on a tlp without buying any krono though at the high end it might make sense to sell stuff for a krono to make it easier to buy something else. There’s a lot of inflation in play so relative to plat a krono is always going up in price so it’s also a good place to store your wealth.

Without krono a lot of these players who are the krono lords or doing rmt at the end of the day would just rmt anyways things like venmo and PayPal make it really easy but there is more risk. Krono reduces the risk and probably reduces support tickets and such.

Krono itself isn’t the problem, the problem is people willing to spend real money on the game to skip the parts they don’t find enjoyable. Also real experience for krono would just make the “krono” problem worse as it would increase the value of krono.now I don’t have to pl my boys anymore I can just farm more of item x and corner the market here!

When ever there’s scarcity in a game and people find it unfun there will always be people willing to spend real money to get around unfun.

Having an opinion about something doesn't mean triggered.

I think it's scumy and weird to spend real money to make yourself more powerful or give yourself an advantage over other players in a video game. It also encourages developers to put more of this crap in games. Which in my personal opinion, degrades the overall average quality of games being released. Do you really want games to all have the diablo immortal model? Really?

And, while it's not making me break down in tears or throw a tantrum. I feel like multiplayer games all have some underlying current of what I'd call competitiveness and achievement for a lack of a better word. And when players can just whip out their credit card and buy this it detracts from the game and cheapens the actual achievements of people who play legitimately. Ask yourself, would you spend money to level yourself in a single player game? Probably not, then why do people do it in multiplayer games? I think it is to be more competitive with others. So, is it really a fair competitive achievement based world and environment if people can just purchase that?

I'm sure you are going to tell my to mind my own business and that I shouldn't care if it doesn't directly affect me. But, this is an online game. It is not single player. So directly or indirectly the actions of players effects the community as a whole. As cheesy as that sounds, I think it is true.

DBG just needs to make a second type of Krono.

The first type is the kind we all know , you buy it and can trade it yada yada , the second the is ... the no trade Krono (consume only).

So you buy a krono , it start's as a normal standard Krono BUT once it's traded it becomes a consume only and can no longer be traded.

The entire original point of a Krono stay's intact but eliminates the resale and undercut's the secondary market and Krono Farmers at the core of the issue.

Read my posts in this thread, money for progress has existed since the dawn of mmos... yeah i've played for a long time

I understand your perspective. Its not cheesy either. Being able to make my warrior a high elf wizard alternate persona is cheesy Lol.

The reality is people are spending money right now to skip leveling/aa'ing/grinding plat. Being able to consume a Krono for levels/aa/plat removes the customer from the botter.

Botters should be 54 boxing Txevu (or whichever typo zone it is) and selling Bbobs for Krono,; not poor person'ing it for gems and vendor trash.

You both keep talking in circles and still will not accept removing the incentive is the solution.

There is no need for box armies or bot's in this game, if there is no value besides game time.
