Talking about the people that run the website/discord that aggregates all EC tunnel auctions

    It's not.

Me neither but you just know some low information tools are going to blitz the forum with whine - even if every Beastlord or Zerk tells them to shut their dang pie hole before it eats a fist sandwich / huge axe they'll still bleat.

As for "early Bazaar" - nah, 5 months is not that long to manage the old-skool selling methods and some folks enjoy that era, let 'em have it for as short a time as it will last.

Ah. Well I won't waste your time with why that is highly unlikely.

Yeah, I don't think it'll ever happen. Just wishing out loud, I guess. Well, out... on the internet. You get the idea.

Saying "it is part of EQ classic" isn't a reasonable argument when the need for a bazaar is created by a combination of things that aren't classic at all: random loot, free trade, and boosted rares.

It's not about "hating it". It's about a ruleset that will create a poor experience, since a lot of random loot is useless if it takes a tremendous amount of effort to sell/trade it.

People keep talking about getting the best items in the game, when most of the time they will be stuck with an enormous number of average items, which many are items that most people have never heard of before, thus making it even more difficult to sell.

/trader function IS playing the economy game, but without the need to do shoutspam/aucspam. And not only that, I wonder if people realize, you can do both? you can actually put your stuff on a trader, but also advertise with your spam for those that want to?

so yes, the best solution is implement /trader in EC, and put trader bags on shady. implementing /trader is at any point in time, an enhancement, not a detriment.

I agree that nothing prevents people from still using /ooc or trader channels on the new TLP.

I don't think enabling /trader in EC would be easier than getting a barebones bazaar working, since there are probably behind the scenes things the bazaar zone itself does to make the entire trader system work that everything links to. And you kind of want people to be protected from being trained and pushed around.

I'd love an early bazaar in classic. Just have a mini bristlebane you can talk to in EC to port you to a version of the bazaar depopulated except for the trade-satchel vendor, bankers and parcel merchants. Disable the other zone lines and have another bristlebane to port you back to EC.

On a similar note I wish they'd remove the RoF requirement for remote buying/selling. It'd make them a bunch of cash because the delivery vouchers would be high value early on.

I know probably none of this will happen, but it all sounds so good! The EC tunnel nostalgia is cool, I guess (though North Freeport was the trade zone of my EQ youth--hello Veeshan), but it gets old pretty quick. I cannot begin to imagine the amount of trade spam there's going to be on this server. Practically, an early bazaar makes perfect sense. When we admit this is the grown-up version of the old EQ experience, QoL upgrades that don't break the game just make sense--especially to those who are on the fence about playing.

I can tunnel with the best of the retired millionaire CEO's that work from home day trading, but when the Bazaar comes out, it's game over to spam auction style bartering.

I would love to see beast at launch.
