Category: Other [Can Repro] Date/Time: Tue Aug 30 08:36:51 2022 Character: Level 60 Druid (Main) Zone: The Commonlands Location: -1289.87, -2240.03, 63.22, 229.55 Description: Someone needs to take a close look on the Dragon Spine Staff that drops from Silverwing in Veeshan's Peak. There must be a bug or an oversight in how the clickable effect is coded for this weapon. It's a 13.5 second cast time for only a 200 damage effect and you must be within melee range to cast it. At least two of those requirements need to change. Druids get higher damage spells that can be cast at long range for only a tiny amount of mana. As it stands now, this weapon is very insulting considering the level of effort required to get into VP and kill Silverwing. So I am thinking there must be an oversight somewhere in the coding for this item. Please take a look at roll out a modified version.
Bumping for the slim hope of at least a dev acknowledgement that there is something fundamentally wrong with this particular item.
how is it in line with other clickies? it's a 200 point DD with 13.5 cast time and requires melee range. how is that even remotely a reward for all the effort it takes to get into VP (TLP)? The staff is most certainly broken.
bumping again to see if someone from DBG would at least be honest enough to come right out and say they don't care that some of the VP loot is inferior to non-raid Classic content.
you dont like the click effect, this is not a bug, its inline with all the other clickies from kunark/velious. vp loot is garbage to begin with. someone has to sort through all this garbage, and you just wasted their time, because you filed a bug report on an item that isnt bugged, just because you dont like the click effect.
