Does DBG have "Class Reps"?

    Actually it was DBG doing the nerfing. The players pointed out the flawed maths that broke AC on pets. It was up to DBG to decide how to fix it. Eg lower AC and substantially boost HP/healing spells to compensate, etc?

    My point though is that wasn't done by a CRT member. Don't just assume CRT => ear of devs => POWER! It's simply not true.

    The players providing all the info on the "flawed pets" completely ignored:
    1. Players have a large number of defensive abilities and can always have something up while tanking - pets have 0 defensive abilities.
    2. Pet heals were most definately NOT boosted to compensatory amounts
    3. Pets happily let mobs attack them from the sides and behind - a major reason they mitigated better. Players can easily turn.
    4. The mitigation was the only point pets were better than player tanks - agro generation, ae agro, snap agro, avoidance, dps, mob placement. Players are vastly superior at all of these things, but got jealous that pets were better in a single category.

    The results:
    A. Pets now tank slightly better than a group geared ranger, but have FAR worse agro
    A1. Pets have only ever been able to tank a single mob at a time, since they have no snap agro or ae agro.
    B. For the first time in 5 expansions (since RoF) pets parse for more damage (Imagine 4 expansions of watching your damage decrease after all AA/gear)
    C. Player tanks are now swarm tanking 10-20 yellow mobs, and doing more sustained and burst damage than mages + pets combined.

    Conclusion: Devs should take anything players say with a grain of salt. Because after listening to tanks, there is about no reason to play anything but a SK, Warrior, or Berzerker.
