Do you use new character models or old ones? (poll)

I'm interested to see where the TLP community stands on their preference. I've tried both ways and feel like each have their merits. I'd be curious to know if DBG has any official data on the subject. Where do you stand?

Old. I used the new for about a week back in 2004, switched back to old and never went back.

New. But old ones are cool.

They're both ancient, but I use the less-ancient ones.

Both, I don't like the new Ogres, Trolls or Male barbs.

The new models look incredibly awkward and unnatural, so I use the old models, as I remembered the game pre-Luclin.

Old models for life

I feel strongly that people should have no problem mix-n-matching their models based on how they feel modern wood elf = sweet! oldschool gnome = hell yeah!

I use new models for most things except I use old model elementals, Ogres, Trolls and Female Barbarians. I dislike the way old models twitch constantly like some tweeker on a bender. They cannot sit still to save their life and its very annoying. Also, more polygons = better (in most cases)

Luclin ones, can't stand the Classic ones, but I would ditch both in a heartbeat for updated models if they looked better and were animated well, and by well I mean the antithesis of the herky jerky Drakkin melee animations.

You should be able to choose old or new for your own character, and other players should see you the way you chose. As it is now, you're deciding the appearance of other players, which seems weird.

I keep switching, but spend most of the time with old models.

Mostly old, but there's like 1-2 of the new ones that I find OK. A lot of them look like they have a doodie in their pants with their running animation.

Shouldn't you use a different forum avatar then? Instead of that Luclin era abomination?

Old models

Original models. I prefer the aesthetics over the horrors that are the Luclin models, plus you don't have to see most players' mounts and there's a noticeable performance advantage on raids (at least for my rig). But, if they ever did update player models to match the style and quality of more recent NPCs, I'd probably use them.

New Models

It just occurred to me, do Heroes Forge armor ornaments show on original models? I do use StickFigure frequently but when I also like to use HF ornaments and if it doesn't show on original then that's never going to happen
