same for me.

It used to work as recently as a few weeks ago when I did it on a different character.

Any idea on a rough time frame for this fix? quite annoying when you want to level the cloak and first step is Champion of the expac

I think you mean neck. And they must have just broken it since I've done the quest multiple times since the start of the expansion, although I have not done it in a month.

It actually got confirmed in a week. Which would give hope it would be in the June patch since it was not mentioned for the hotfix today.

There is bug with this quest still on step 4, " having found a paladin who has said the phrase, respond back in kind." when the proper phrase is given to the paladin they aren't providing the correct response allowing the quest to progress. i've dropped the quest and restarted multiple times with the same result. /petition and /bug have been sent with no resolution.

Attempted this today, 2 different toons unable to get past this step.

I have tryed this a few times. it is still broken as of 5/25/24

Description: Quest Trust is Earned, Outsider. On step 4 the paladin that replied with a blue text link does not respond with the expected information and quest does not progress.

After hailing 3 paladins (a loyal guard) the 3rd responds with the text 'A loyal guard stares to the east before speaking, '[Did you hear that the loggers have been worked through the night?]' in a blue clickable link.

On clicking the link the guard dismisses me and the quest does not progress.

Try saying I hope they are paid overtime

Thats the same thing as clicking the blue text, and neither of them work. It's broken.

I'm having the same problem too.

As of today not working either with the link or typing the response phrase. The message from a loyal guard is "A loyal guard dismisses you with an eye roll as he returns to the task that you just interrupted." but the task does not update.

This worked correctly before the patch. Dropped the task and started over - same result. Tried the outside pallies and inside pallies, nothing any different.

Well just submitted a ticket regarding this issue as this is the last of the Partisan tasks, was really hoping to complete this during the extra XP bonus time, before moving onto the last T1 Zone, its currently 21:44 BST.

So the reply from Daybreak is that there is not CS based solution, so we have to wait for them to fix the quest, which might be on the next patch, but they have no time frame. Not sure why they cannot apply a CS solution, the old company used to if a quest was broken.

This quest will be fixed no sooner than the next monthly patch.

I'm stuck on this, too. I finally decided to kill my procrastination tonight and try and upgrade my necklace. 2nd zone I worked on and boom, this is the thanks I get, heh. I will not be grinding any more for it, I'm all set on waiting a month or more for permission to upgrade my character (from what might be a single line of code to fix, at that).

Daybreak has shifted to a very slow update schedule as one of their many approaches to cutting costs, and it feels like a deliberate policy was put in place to prevent bandaid patches like these, instead saving them for the big roundup. I remember a few years ago the overlords reported EQ made $11 Million in that year's profits, which some people tell me "is barely enough to keep the lights on". They are currently hiring a few positions at the company, not sure if people left or were fired, or if their penny-pinching in various areas was purposely done to free-up capital to hire some more talent. I don't really know the game dev world so I'll try not to speculate further.

You answered your own question: the people who gave a damn are no longer there.

They aren't hiring anyone in a sustainable capacity, in paying mid $40s in San Diego.

They may have job postings up at minimum wage pay rates, but that doesn't mean the positions will remain filled with competent individuals.

Unsustainable.

Can we get an update when this is going to be fixed? I mean it has been 16 days since reported, and from what I see on other bug reports, there is no hotfix coming. So i am guessing a June patch which is another 2ish weeks away.
