Last two weeks this raid randomly crashes random people straight to desktop, just had 3 people crash to desktop with no error messages, last week it was me 3x in 10 minutes. Add GD to the list. Consistent crashes on the 2nd guy every week from random people. I experienced it a week ago after never having experienced it. Straight to desktop.
I haven't seen it on other raids yet, but yeah its really random and not consistent with the rest of the raids. Kael AoW event, no crashes
Are you guys running straight Vanilla EQ, or do you have any tools added in? I don't think something reading logfiles (gamparse) would be an issue, but anything reading memory (item collectors, Magelo, em cue two, etc) could be a factor. Also, default UI or custom?
Default UI, only other things I'm using are Gina and Gamparse, rest of the people who knows. This week I didn't crash.
Do you have spell particles turned on? IIRC there was a crash reported in beta that was because of this. The same thing is probably used in Great Divide.
We've experienced "random" crashes with Derakor as well, and I want to say a couple of other ToV raids, just to a lesser extent. On our last raid this past Monday, the first handful of crashes occurred about 9 minutes into the event, with a few more crashes another 10-13 minutes in. I can't say exactly what was going on at the time to really help with details. I'll be happy to supply any log file if needed. There's nothing interesting in mine, just a gap in time. The only indication I get is simply a frozen screen for the 1-2 seconds it takes for the client to close down. Probably contrary to most, I leave most of my graphic effects on, except for 2.0 shaders and advanced lighting as those effects make some ToV zones too bright to see clearly.
This happened again last night. We had crashes during ToFS1 and then crashes before engaging ToFS2. This time, my crash occurred while sitting at event 2 waiting for loot from event 1 to be handed out. Straight to desktop.
