What happens when I die and server goes down. Say its down for 12 hours. Am I able to rez when server comes back up? Does timers go to a halt while servers are down? Do timers start when server comes back up? Say goes down for 12 hours, comes back up at 3AM, if I'm not on at 3AM for 3 hours, that means I can't rez?
The rez timer only counts down while you have a character logged into the game. It's not specific to the character that died, just any character. If you die on your main and then switch to an alt on the same account, the timer for the Main will still count down. While servers are down and no characters are logged into the game, the timer stops counting down. This only applies to the 3 hour rez timer, the 1 week total timer still counts down while not logged in.
If you are lucky you will get rolled back to just before you died. The rez timer, as others have said, is 3 days if you are off line or 3 hours if you are on-line and playing another character counts as being on-line. FYI, sitting at character select also counts as being on-line for rez timer purposes. So if the server is down for 12 hours and comes back up at 3 AM you would still have plenty of time to get rezzed or use expedient recovery.
