This would be the best solution to instancing on the server.

So the amount of time in velious was too long, yet you are worried about missing one week in an expac of the same length? /confused

Then go out to Temple of Cazic Thule then and try your hands at the new content there if you're looking for a new challenge, plus maybe get your guys the FT4 gloves.

And hey, you could be the second guild on the server to take down the Ring of Slime!

My goodness, the drama! Lets call it what it is..So a guild exploited, how has that affected any of you? Im very curious to know..it sounds to me like people are crying because OGC and AoS got more pixel loots than your guild did and you came here to cry about it..which then in turn directly affected you by getting the AOC removed!

Those of you crying "cheater/exploit" guilds, and blah blah..lets be real here..if any of you are in a raid instance and there is an active exploit you can do to get more gear, you are going to do it. If you go to raid SSra and there are 2 HP's up, you are not going to say "oh guys, we are only killing one because thats how the game is intended to be"..if you say you would, ill call you a bold face liar. You would kill both and get the double loot the same as anyone else did. The fact is, you are all upset because you didnt learn of the exploit first..and in an attempt to get OGC people banned, you came to the forums to cry about it. So the devs took the AOC out to prevent the "cheater" guilds from cheating, just as the cry babies requested, and now they are crying because they cant raid!

Get real people..if your guild chooses not to use an active exploit, then good on you, congratulations! you will win at eq the "intended" way...but a guild using an exploit to get extra loot, from an instance, that does not affect a single player outside of that specific raid, is no reason to go crying to devs that the content is broken..if it hasnt harmed you, leave it alone, let them do what they do, so the devs quit ripping the instances out in order to "fix" them.

The less you come running to the forums to cry on another guild, the less the devs will interfere and prevent you from doing the content you are crying you dont get to do. Its simple..remember how in 1st grade nobody liked the tattle tale...well that applies to adults too. Im sure some of you tell your children to not be tattle tales...yet here you are..running off to tell on the evil everquest guilds that got more loots than you! Oh no! Shut your yaps, and just let the server move on.

You don't seem to understand that going back to Velious is a major morale hit. People were excited about the newly opened expansion, they have been working hard to get keyed for these new instances. To say, hey guys, instead of killing the new exciting stuff, let's go back and kill the same boring thing we have been killing for the past 4 months is bad. It will frustrate and bore the members of the raid. It would be better for morale to write off raiding for the day entirely and let people AA or level alts than to move backwards and raid Velious. It doesn't make sense, logically, since there are people who can still benefit from the items, but morale it an emotional thing, and emotions rarely follow logic.

My bad..I understand this thread is about getting the aoc put back, perhaps I should have posted in the "cascading Instances is allowed now?" thread..which was the cry baby crap I was talking about that got the AOC removed to begin with. Although im quite certain those same people from that thread, are reading this thread...so ill just leave it.

No, I fully understand. I'm an officer in one of the larger raiding guilds, and we're equally affected by this. Tonight was our Ssra raid night also.

But we're able to put our big boy pants on and deal with it.

If your raid force needs gear, you adapt and hit another target.
If your raid force is going to be that negatively affected by missing 1 day of pixels, when you'll be hitting the same content until February... then you're probably going to start sieving members by the end of the expansion to fatigue and burnout and perhaps your problem lies elsewhere.

Guild that are already in Vex Thal won't be affected at all , or barely!

Which is a bit dumb, considering the issue had a lot to do with the key mob for that zone, which will in effect let those that had done this already continue on. The rest have to wait.

Good on you for eating your vegetables. At this point most raid forces need AA's as much as they need gear. Most guilds would be served just as well by getting the night off to level AA's as they would by raiding Velious one more time. Something that would allow people to feel like they are still moving forward and would keep morale up far more than going backwards. But hey, whatever blows your skirt up. Many guilds aren't going to want to force that on their people.

Instead of focusing on fixing a instance that allows us to play the video game, nice priorities there.

I am in no way defending them.

But, why should I care if they exploit on an instanced server. Why do you care? You seemed to be concerned about them "making a mockery of the server". What does that even mean? Are other servers out there watching us with bated breath waiting for evidence of instance tomfoolery so they can expose our whole server as dirty, dirty instance exploiters? Expose to whom? Who the hell really cares about this crap?

On live servers it was a different story. Exploiting your way through content blocked others from experiencing it, so it mattered. On an instanced server, its exactly the opposite. Someone exploiting in an instance doesn't block anyone else at all. Getting your panties all up in a wad and demanding DBG fix the exploits before letting anyone else play at all is what is blocking us all now.

This is all because a tiny fraction of the population of the server are crybaby little boys who can't stand to get beaten by other crybaby little boys and have to find ways to justify getting their rear-ends handed to them at the expense of the much, much larger part of the paying server population who couldn't care less. One day, it's my hope that DBG is going to realize that it isn't the batphone guilds and krono farmers that are actually paying the bills and will stop kowtowing to them.

yea and now just imagine what we will be zoning into when PoP launches.

Add me to the list of people who are thoroughly enjoying this.

Toxic drama on official boards? Check.

Exploits slathered all over the place? Check.

Entire endgame of expansion brought down to have its tires kicked? Check.

'Community management' team locking threads for being 'off-topic' instead of actually, you know, managing their community? Double check.

I just can't reiterate enough how frustrating it is that the guilds that exploited SSRA are the only ones least affected by removing the AoC. They continue to enjoy VT while the rest of us sit back and wait for a fix. You have taken out both SSRA and VT for guilds who are progression in the appropriate manner.

No one cares if guilds continue to exploit SSRA. The point of this server was to have instanced raiding so guilds could raid on their own schedule. Just put the AoC back in and let them exploit. We know they exploit and their kills are BS. It's fine.

So, this being fixed would be nice. Or put the AoC back until it's fixed. Cuz reasons that have already been said.
