    Hi There,

Our guild and others have been working hard toward keying all of our members for the final fight in the Ssra Instance which was shut down today.

Could someone from Daybreak please comment on the ETA of the instance being available again? If its not going to be today that's fine, but I'm sure guilds are looking to adjust their raid schedules accordingly and have time to inform their members of the changes.

    Thank you,

    Mabbu

    I second this.

Anyone know if VT instanced is being took down? I heard you can get to AHR in 40 mins after getting keys from Emp. Now that just doesnt seem right. Did AOS report this bug they found?

    Food for thought:

Due to the way that lockouts work, having to move your raid time messes up your schedule in a way that is only "fixable" by bypassing an entire week. For example, if your normal raid time is Thursday, and you have to do it on Friday due to the instance not working, you will have to wait an entire extra week to get back to being able to raid it on Thursday again.

Even if they get the instance working tommorrow, the net effect is costing any guild that intended to raid Ssra on Thursdays consistently another week of lockouts, just like Thursday Ssra raiders lost last weeks.

It really seems lousy that the guilds who exploited this (and ostensibly are no longer in a huge rush to kill emp in isntance again as they have at least 72 [maybe more, see wraith KSing]) have now effectively locked a bunch of guilds that have been pushing their members to key.

I'm not sure how it works in DBG land, but in the minds of normal people, amnesty only works for reporting problems when you don't actively exploit the hell out of them before making sure everyone else can't use them.

I'm not advocating that we all be allowed to exploit in the same fashion, simply that GMs make sure these AOC's are back up ASAP (meaning actually ASAP - like this weekend). If that cannot be accomplished, it seems like the fairest thing would be to allow all the guilds to access the AOC again for a short period this weekend. Otherwise you are setting everyone who was following the rules back weeks or more in their VT keying while not doing ANYTHING to punish the people who have already benefited.

I think most of us can agree that the standard 5.5 day lockout, the one most of the rest of EverQuest instances use, would have been the best situation for all guilds involved.

That's assuming you only raid one day a week, and can only put that one raid on that one day.

In reality, if you raid multiple targets, just pick a different one Thursday that you're not locked out of and change the date.

We raid 3 nights a week, and we'll shuffle around some stuff tonight, but then should be fine for other targets next time.

If it's fixed by this time next week, really, only 1 lost Ssra instance for this week. Might mean going back to Velious content, but not really a huge setback.

It still requires a herculean effort to be able to get it back to Thursdays due to the way that lockouts work.

I just parsed this out on my guilds website to do exactly that, and it will take a round robin raiding schedule of changing what you raid everyday of every week until November 1st to stabilize the raid nights. This is assuming the Ssra instance is back by this Sunday.

Having to do a raid on any different day than you usually do is a loss of time and loot with the lockout system currently implemented- even if you do it the next raid night, your lockout is still 6.5 days, so those several days it took to get to that next raid night are lost forever.

Yes, please respect the ability for the non-cheating guilds to be able to do the content.

Honestly, at this point everything in Ssra pretty much is No Drop, so as far as i am concerned they can knock themselves out exploiting it. It doesn't hurt my experience one bit.

What does hurt my experience is not being able to do our own instance, even though we had no intention of exploiting anything.

This whole situation just makes me want to go play legion. At least then I can get excited for a raid without a fear of it being accessible. Gg boys.

They really should adjust the lockouts to be like the game we do not speak of... resets on Tuesday morning every week.

+1. DBG, for every exploit these folks are reporting on each other, they are probably taking advantage of a dozen others without saying anything about it, so why punish those of us who just want to experience the content without exploiting? Most of the rest of us don't care about whether or not OGC or AoS or anyone else are waving their e-peens at each other over ill-gotten no-drop loot. We just want to be able to raid on a RL-friendly schedule, and that doesn't include giving a solitary crap about whether ahole_guild_1 has an extra Emp kill in a week and ahole_guild_2 is pissed about it and/or vice versa.

Sure, the stuff should be fixed so that the lockouts can't be exploited, but you can do that without taking the AoCs down for everyone. Noone cares if OGC or AoS and their minions are running around with a few extra pieces of loot they wouldn't have had otherwise except AoS and OGC.

Enough is enough, Daybreak. I will remind you that this game is NOT free to play and your non-exploitative, non-cheating LOYAL customers/guilds are being taken advantage of by your inaction and seemingly uncaring tolerance of HUGELY exploitative, disruptive and unbelievably abusive guilds/customers on the Phin server. This in turn is exploitation of your legitimate PAYING customer base and will not be tolerated.

Those of us that enjoy playing this game, the way it was meant to be played, without exploitation, with respect toward our fellow players and respect for the server community, will be discussing our respectable and legal options to protest this gross mismanagement and blind eye policy that only proves to further enrich the guilds that lie, cheat and steal on this server. We will not be victimized and abused by the inaction of this company.

Taking down an instance is NOT an acceptable response to this absurd exploitation being perpetrated by a few guilds on this server. Taking down Ssra instance is absurd and extremely hurtful to your legit customer base. Ssra is the gate way to the rest of the content in Luclin. There are a bunch of guilds, including my own, that plan to raid tonight 10-6-16 in Ssra for our first full clear and Emp kill. We have all played very hard to get keyed for this day, even thru being relentlessly trained, KSed and disrespected by these guilds that seem to be endlessly protected even after breaking every part of the EULA.

ENOUGH! Please put the Ssra instance back up and take appropriate action against the players and guilds that constantly and consistently exploit, cheat, disrupt and otherwise harm your LOYAL and respectable player base.

I think we've heard this one before. I don't think it has turned out well.

couldn't have been said better. put the AOC back and monitor the instance until you can fix them for good. hand out suspensions like candy. the server is alot bigger than just the guys being stupid
  16. Accipiter Old Timer

LOL, guys like you kill me. I'm sure your rant will have effect you were looking for. Carry on.
  17. Zanador Elder

    +1 to both sentiments.

Especially since it seems this behavior has been happening in ALL instances, and for far longer than most people realize. This is NOT isolated to the Ssra temple instance and should not cause simply the Ssra instance to be removed.

i remember back on live how the top guild on the server(the ones with out jobs) would block the server by killing emp every time he spawned. i hated that. BUT IT"S HAPPENING AGAIN! on a server that was sold to me as the answer to this problem.
  19. Garanle Elder

How many people are actively in OGC?

Is it more than the number of people in other guilds that would take a shot at Emp tonight? Or over the weekend? It seems like all you would have to do is ban OGC for 2 weeks from logging into the game.

IT is one thing to use exploits in instances that don't have consequences for the other players on the server. However when the exploit directly affects the other players on the server then there needs to be some kind of consequence that is made public so that AoS and others know it won't be tolerated.

Or as prather and DB Staff normally do, they can half- a fix that OGC will find something else to work around, be obstinate to the people who pay their wage and ignore the outrage till it goes away. .
  20. Alluvin New Member

You don't even have to fix the content. Just watch the guilds top guild for a week or 2 every time a new expac launches. set an alert when someone starts the top instance and go watch. if you burn their instance every time they do something that is an exploit they will stop. no revenue lost that way
