Darkened Shieldstorm

  1. Benito EQ player since 2001.

    Is this a must-have tool (important proc), cool defensive toy (proc that offers a slight edge), or absolutely obsolete (proc useless due to AC caps/stacking)?

    Same effect than Form of Defense clicky. If you have access to group gear only, the FoD XX or FoD XXI effects are yet better than this. I don't speak of course of raid gear version. So useless at lvl 110. It's same stats than FoD XIX.

    But with FoD being an AA now, not sure stacking applies.

    However, due to the short duration and 2hander requirement, I'd toss it in the "mostly useless toy" pile.

    It won't stack, only highest effect will take effect, same SPA.

    Ah, wasn't quite sure if those still applied as SPA effects.

    Either way, the necessary bandolier-juggling to keep the effect up while tanking would be obnoxious since it only lasts 2 ticks (base).

    Perhaps the devs may consider changing SPA or buffing the AC a bit to make this a little toy.
