I crashed to desktop, waited through a 72 minute queue that was actually more than 120 minutes, and was able to play for 15 minutes before another CTD. Now the queue is 134 minutes. This. Is. ABSURD. I'm playing a 21 year old game on an i9-9900k cpu with an rtx 2080ti card. 134 minute queue, after waiting through a 120+ minute queue.
That's interesting about particles. I had my first crash to desktop today on Aradune when a bunch of raiders were transiting Everfrost for a Vox raid. I noticed there were alot of mages with pets, then I clicked on a skeleton to target it and had an immediate crash to desktop. It was probably the cleanest, most abrupt crash I've experienced. My character was still logged in when I tried to reconnect, had to boot him and of course I'm back in the queue. This was about 5p est today. I don't recall a crash to desktop in the middle of gameplay like this in the last few years of playing on tlp's. Usually its much more messy and related to log in/log out when I've had problems before. i7-8700k RTX 2070 Win 10 64bit
Keep bumping this boys. Post your log errors here so a Dev finally takes a look (I'm sure they're ignoring this because that's how DPG rolls). Crashing randomly to desktop just to wait in a 2-3 hour queue on Aradune is a complete joke. I wouldn't mind the crash so much if they would just hold your spot online for 5-10 minutes. But the combination of crashes, no grace period and a nasty queue is unacceptable.
No response from this company speaks volumes. Just acknowledge that you are aware your client is crashing for your customers, and that a crash right now wastes their entire time with guildies, friends, and characters.
Same issue, about 3 times a week since I started playing on Aradune, Im getting booted straight to desktop. Its not a driver issue, all of my other games work great and I had no issues on Mangler or Ragefire. This is either an Aradune issue or something very recent. I use 3 PCs and one laptop. I have had the crash happen on 3 out of the 4 PCs.
Until a Dev speaks up, why not just turn down all effects and particles ingame and see if it affects it?
Just crashed to desktop sitting in PoK on Xegony. Crash to desktop bug happens to me at least once or twice a day. Never used to happen until the last patch but i know guildies were having it happen before that. Please fix Running windows 10 and i have a GTX1060 6GB video card and for RAM i have 16GB. Like i said, never used to happen until last patch when the server merges happened. Edit to say when it happens i am usually sitting still in a zone doing nothing in particular except looking through bags Edit 2 to say i posted this because it had just happened again and its pissing me off. When i logged back in i switched out an item in my primary slot and immediately crashed again. Patches are supposed to make a game better. Not worse
This happened to me last night, was running through Toxx Forest and booped to desktop. Tried to log in and it said I was already in the game. 256 minute queue. So let me get this straight... It's 2020 and this game doesn't have a re-entry system? Also, its 2020 and afk players aren't getting booted from the server to help with the 200+ minute queue? What is going on here lol. Also I submitted a ticket and a GM told me to come here, looks like its a ghost town for Devs. Based on my above statements about running a game in 2020... I would have to guess that there are no Devs or Engs.
Over two weeks and this hasn't even been acknowledged despite being the most liked post in this section in quite some time. My guess is they can't get through the queue to test it
The 5 crashes I've had on Aradune in the past couple days all came when I received tells while zoning. Now, anytime a friend sees a queued tell message to me, they just assume I've crashed.
There is apparently time for them to post that the server queue is not a bug, but not enough time to acknowledge that this is a huge issue facing people and will cost them business. For a company on life support, you'd think they'd want to keep the few customers who remain.
