Class Balance

So what happen to the class balance now casters are on top and melee barely breaking so when is this gonna be fixed?

When they feel like it.

1) Revert AC levels and melee are a ok.
2) Make a few more burst raids or required burst phases.
3) Fix wizards.
4) Fix Chronohaze.
5) Keep burst and sustained classes apart and make sure they each get to equally eat during an expansion.
6) Reduce some of the crazy from adps.

3 and 4 seem a bit harsh

Obviously Bards need a boost to be on par with Enchanters.

You can't have one class that both bursts with burst classes and then seamlessly transitions to sustaining with sustained classes. Otherwise all dps needs to do that equally, ie dumb. Chronohaze is part of the issue now with the means to proc it a lot.

No i am pretty sure that means Bards need boosts.

Bottom line is something needs to be changed and fixed ASAP

So bards would need to boost some classes sustained and others burst so dramatically that it offsets what chronohaze does for 1 or 2 classes. Sounds like a plan.

How about just improving melee DPS and making raids that don't screw over half of the classes instead of swinging the bat? But sure... let's nerf caster DPS

Do people not realize that when you ask for nerfs to others that it directly affects you regardless of what class you play? Raid? Group? Anything aside from solo? Yeah, you're affected.

Bards can ADPS melee or casters. Enchanters can ADPS casters. What exactly do they need a boost for? I hope it would only be for more melee ADPS. Anyhow, they're already better for Necros than Enchanters too.

I am still a firm believer in burst dps classes and sustained dps classes with tradeoffs for each. Not one class running free getting everyone else in a feeding freenzy of having it all with no downside.

Chronohaze, mana regen in raids and high nuke mods that can run for 8 of every 10 minutes have created an issue and the devs need to see it before its to late, if its not already. Or just make everyone interchangeable which to many is even worse but then there are like 5 classes to retune.

Melee do just fine when you go back into non TDS stuff so their main issue is TDS AC and other unfriendly melee scripts. Not needing more adps from bards, in fact they need to get off the adps teet somewhat as its to much. Unless you look at their sustained compared to the burst casters sustained that they use to somewhat resemble.

What are the sustained classes and what are the burst classes?

Balance sways. For the most part in CoTF I seem to recall it being melee who were blowing up the parses.

Chanters >>>>> Bards when it comes to ADPS for caster groups...yet chanters burn for more than 2x what bards do.

BL's and Zerkers get pretty good ADPS and burn for 4x what a bard does.

There is zero reason bards should be as low as they are on burns... Bards: The class that is insanely fun + versatile in group scenarios, and /melody afk bots on raids as a ton of their other utility has been squashed. Seriously...doubly a bards DPS would do what to class balance? They'd still be worse than any pure DPS option but maybe we'd get more than 1 bard main (and 3-4 boxes) on raids.

It is sad too...Bards and BL's were built to be on the same DPS table...but now BL's burn for over 200k while bards are stuck in the 50-60k range still...
