Character Select to Landing in game takes a LOOOONG time now. Why?

This started after one of the recent patches. It takes significantly longer to land in game after character select. I'd say 3-4x. Also there's no indication anything is happening. because character select just freezes. I thought I had a client crash happening the first few times. Seems like something is broken there.

this happened to everyone a while back. though there are some that don't have much "entering world" lag. It still takes me longer then it probably should to get into the world and I just had a custom built pc that is overkill for eq. Its their servers man, they can only go so fast and thus slow you down. If it becomes more of an issue I recommend that you save your ini files and redownload eq.

If you are playing on the new server Agnarr it is probably the volume of people logging in at any given time causing the lag or just the number of people online for that server.

Yeah I noticed it also Mediik. It was really bad after the patch on the 24th (?) . Got a little better on the make up patch and is now almost back to normal for me but not quite what is used to be. Also zoneing is off and slower now too. I am not going to reinstall or do any trouble shooting since this has happened in the past and usually clears up with another patch or something in the future.

Blue servers- zoning is taking too long.
