Changes with the February Update: Developer Updates

    Squeaky wheels get the grease. Figures they don't look at anything the few clerics posters had problems with.

    Honestly the change to assassinate working on current level content is pretty big. If I were one of the systems guys I'd want to see how that plays out before tweaking anything else. I'll forward the feedback on though.

    Don't most humanoid mobs at the highest levels summon? How is that going to help the soloing ranger who likes to use his bow for a few AA per night? Simple fix to this oversight:

    Headshot - up to L88 mobs, leave as is, keep current damage limit.
    Deadshot - new AA, up to character level-1, reduced chance of proc, increase damage limit.

    I tend to speak players language when it's appropriate. Other times it's not so appropriate. I'm not a slick PR guy, trust me. I'm may be occasionally a little devious, but mostly I'm rough around the edges and fairly blunt.

    If they would either reply through my petition/support ticket or to the email address tied to my Everquest Account I'd appreciate it. I sometimes do get lost in the hundreds of replies here. I have a dozen or so more suggestions/ideas for various classes and if asked can come up with so many more. Avid player of Pathfinder/D&D and I'm constantly coming up with fun content so it's no trouble at all! :D

    The OP is asking for all opinions on this matter, forgive some of the dedicated masses for trying to retain a faint glimmer of hope that the proposed brutal dumbing down of EQ isnt going to happen. If they considered the thoughts of those completely opposed, there was no compromise for us, giving an opt out is not that, so let me stop you right there before making the claim that it is. That changes nothing.

    I'm going to trim most of this because of brevity, but based on current actions and decisions they don't particular care. We're required to have at least 2 other classes to maintain decent DPS in a raid situation. They're pretending like assassination was a problem to begin with, when it clearly isn't. They're gimping the crap out of it and taking away our solo tool. The fact there are a handful of rogue mains these days on any given server apparently doesn't matter. Raids guilds with a single active rogue or none at all, we're tired of playing a class that's supposed to be at the top of melee dps and playing second fiddle to the rest. The message is quite clear.

    I would really like a developers response to this questions.

    If I as a mage go and gather up a large group of mobs and use my newly granted 12 mob beam spell there will be punishment's associated with this? AKA suspension, banning, etc?

    How about this: give these chars something to do at lv 85. Otherwise they won't even know what AA is until they level up to 90. Why take away such an important aspect of the game?

    When you auto grant AAs will we be getting EVERYTHING logical before Underfoot? or up to I mean?

    As in, will we get the whole Fundament of Intellect line and things of that nature from SoD? I only ask since this is an AA that requires other AAs and is a long line of useful things that I wouldn't buy right now if I didn't have too.

    We talked today quite a bit about shining and clerics. Basically we ran a few numbers and it looked about right to us. We're looking for more data and commentary, but we need specifics. Why do you think this breaks the spell? What changes would you rather see that has the same overall impact? How do we keep this from being the single most powerful swarming spell for everyone but SKs and mages?

    A 4 box team taking a minute to kill a trash mob in shards landing is about as relevant as someone who has played 15 years and only has 50 aa's. My kill rate solo with a ranger is horrible and I take them out much faster than in a minute. No, seriously every caster does it faster than I can and until recently the melee also did because they didn't only have access to one ranged only disc.

    Headshot and such will need a significant bump in power to offset the nerf to the ppm. Even with the raised cap on what it'll work on.

    I have no objection to the hit limit on SK abilities provided it's large enough to be reasonable. Our main role IS to Swarm. Not break the server 220 mob zone swarming, but 4, 6, maybe 8 mobs. I dunno. It depends upon the event. Every raid I led SKs had add duty. Their job is to AE taunt and take the beating.

    Seriously, why not ADJUST THE AA CURVE, initiate some real COMPROMISE for us
