OK - So.. Your skills or schedule makes you a "non-starter" for RoTE, or SR or Freelance, etc.
But you really want to raid on Cazic Thule? We might have an answer.
The CTA is a raiding alliance with the "anchor guild" being Caelum Infinitum and fleshed out with members of older (or mostly dead) guilds that want to keep their old guild tags and yet keep on raiding.
We are not "The A team". We are perpetually "one expansion back", but stay geared well enough to steamroll the current group progressions etc. We do have Maestro in Hate and the 3 Golums in Fear on "farm status", so we are getting some decent and current gear. (Availability to show up early for "pre-clearing" in Fear and Hate will earn you extra DKP and some great group drops!)
We raid Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7:30-11 Eastern. Sunday 7-11 Eastern.
We use a simple DKP system and require 45% attendance for round 1 bidding on loots.

    Important to note:
We like to win, but we value the real people behind the character more than just the toon you bring to the table. We'd like to get people that will stay. People that use us as a mere "stepping stone" to "gear up" to get into SR or RoTE etc hurts. Many of us have known each other for years. We use Teamspeak. Many of us have talked to (or met) another member in person a time or two.
Skill levels vary; though I'm pleased to say our parses are breaking down on the "correct class lines" much better than they used to!
We are largely an "older" group of people. Many of us go back to the dawn of EQ in 1999 - though we do have some younger players too. Language in raid and Teamspeak is expected to hold at about the PG-13 level.

    What are we looking for?
Our "core group" currently tops out at about 40 people now. So we need at least 2 groups worth of regular attendees to get full again. Taking up the slack with our boxes gets annoying to play - and in some events almost impossible.
We need a couple more Enchanters to do TDS stuff properly.
We don't even have one full time Wizard.
So while those might be a "priority" we have room for just about anything too.

Requirements: (Not cast in stone... but optimally)
A good friendly attitude. (a must)
    Gold Account. (a must)
Teamspeak. (most instructions are verbal - not typed)
Ability to consistently show up more than not.
Willingness to join a member guild. (Check that your guild is not already a member!)
Alternately, a real guild with 2 or more real players to join the alliance.
Level 105 with enough AAs to do your job properly. (some wiggle room on level)
Enough class knowledge to not be "that guy".
At least TBM group geared. (need those hitponts to eat AE's and such)
Muramite trials done. (very easy now)
DoN progression done. (or willing to do it soon)
    Teamspeak (we'll provide channel info)
GINA - Optional but highly encouraged.
(If you don't have GINA - you'd best get good at making in-game audio triggers)

Needs Update: While Enchanter / Wizard high on the list, being 2 groups down many nights, we have a need for just about every class except SK, War, Ranger, Necro. (not to say one of each aren't welcome)
Starting DKP: It was decided last night that a small "DKP bonus" will be given to new members who actually make an effort to "show up and contribute" after their third appearance. Enough so when adding that to the the DKP you earned for those 3 nights - you can bid on at least RkIII spells and some gear.
TeamSpeak: You're not required to have / buy a microphone, and some players that do have a mike keep it muted most of the time anyway. But being able to listen is important.
Boxing: IF you can *effectively* box a second character in an event, you can bid on stuff that goes to Round 3 bidding. (guests and alts etc.). Really good boxes that contribute consistently, can ask to be upgraded to "Round 2 status" for "Allied approved alts".

    Feel free to ask questions....

Sunday June 5th!: We will be attempting a fun 2 pronged assault on both Hate and Fear (TBM version). Early pre-clearing of the trash will start at 5:30 Eastern. (we give some extra DKP for those that show up early to pre-clear) We're going to take whatever force we can muster and break into Fear. Once a good camp is established and we have enough people, we're going to split off a team to go pre-clear Hate as well.
Come raid time: (7PM) We leave a box in Fear to hold the task open, and all go into Hate to down the Maestro quickly for the chest. Then it's back to Fear to down the 3 Golums for another chest. The net result will be 2 chests for our efforts that night.
Note: All the "trash mobs" in Hate and Fear are of group difficulty - not raid. And the many "named trash" we kill, drop really good TBM group gear that most of us already have or do not need. ie New people will do well in the pre-clear. :)

If you just want to see what we're "all about" - send me a tell in game after 5:30 eastern this coming Sunday.
