It was my understanding that they first killed the quest due to it being used to knockback players across Posky islands - avoiding the key farming, and due to griefers knocking them killer wizard plants in Fungus grove to the banker area (but likewise, really not very gamebreaking now). It should return, but not trivial to obtain (and not super rare, pure luck idiocy), we have RoF affecting ToV/WW so, why not add a similar type quest with that lore attached?
Not even "may", "was". But I'm agreeing with you that it should be brought back. It's not common practice to have an uber item nerfed, but instead they just broke the quest. There isn't precedent for this, and many people would love to have it back. Talk about good and easy PR for yourselves, SOE...
that was me in the rare item thread on the old forums. except I wasn't 'moaning' about arwyn. it was someone else I had approached who wasn't in RoV. but guess what, I have a BFG now. good luck on your 'moaning like hell' to get it reintroduced into the game, though.
You seem sure you are the only person who ever tried to buy one on FV over the past 10 years. Grats on getting one, I'll keep moaning since I almost had one in 2001, but the gnome ate my planking.
My planking was removed from my inv. I will moan and throw tempertantrums untill its back, only because I think it should have never been removed. They didnt remove the other 2 items with the same effect, they just removed this one. I would love to start a list of items. Next post will be a list of those items that should be added to casino or dropped again.

I have a few of these items from when they were current, and have no problem with any of them returning. Some were removed just because of zone revamps (SoD etc), not because they were over powered Some were removed because they didnt fit the difficulty of the mobs that dropped them (Box of Abu is a major player here, one of mine came from a lvl35 Sand Giant) Although, im pretty sure Ball of Golem Clay still can drop in the Feerrott (yes, the 1 charge version, not the clicky from the PoE Frog).
also add to that list: Wavecrasher (it was removed with the original redesign of Sirens grotto) as a 1h tradable slow proc toy... they did add the 2h with the same proc to the zone... it'd be nice to see come back, even if it was nodrop, or attuneable...
No one else come up with anything else we should get added to Casino?... Its a plat sink that needs to be addressed, I want to see it expanded.
