Can We Swap Server Names Around Please?

it does seem to make aquiring any one item impossible unless you wanna go to market and pay krono.

I didn't play Mischief so idk how the random loot will play out. I imagine it's kinda more Diablo style loot drops tho if everything is just randomized.

You can just say you didn't play on mischief and have no idea what you're talking about and save a lot of time.

Random Loot is great. It just means when you are doing your epic, you can go to SolA and kill any of the named to find Lord Gimblox Ring. But on Tormax, you will only be able to get the ring from Lord Gimblox, and so for the first 6 months, he will be permanently camped by desperate clerics, and there is kill-stealing, and people crying because they have been camping him for 36 hours and they need to sleep. Meanwhile, over on Teek, you got the ring from some other named in the zone and you move on without wasting 36 hours for a single drop. Or if you still want the nostalgia of killing Gimblox, you can because he is not perma-camped.

Random loot just means you can enjoy the game without the frustration of long-term camping.

Last I checked Gimblox (as with many other quest drops) is restrained to the original mob.

Bergurgle was changed (for all servers at that) but not Gimblox.

Not quite how it works.

Take the ring from Sea Furies, I lost count how many times in an hour that the ring was called rotting in OOT come and loot it. I was given various items from strangers, because loot is bountiful and not worth as much as on other TLP servers. Many good items just get given away or left on corpses.

Since he was recently changed to "rare" designation I'm curious if that'll put his loot on other mobs.

No hate for Tormax, it's just not the rule set for me. Best wishes to everybody that has chosen to play there.

I don't "THINK" that matters, but I'm hopeful that you're right, definitely would make clerical folk have an easier life if they can spend their life other places other than SolA.

isnt the ring an exception though? If the mob is marked quest, it'll drop the item every time. But epic drops and other things will just randomly drop from anywhere. So you just gotta kill over and over hoping that your item drops?

They won't and don't have a population though.

TLP Auction site has a whole 6 people interested in Tormax to 111 for Teek. Now that isn't an excact ratio but using the data points available (guilds recruiting for teek and people flagged as interested through various avenues such as discords) it can easily be ascertained that Tormax will have a population of about 200 people. Half of which will be boxes.

Hope you all fun but the population will be similar to or less then Miragul was.

That is a terrible biased group to poll - as they are inherently those that are more concerned with valuation of things - something that will be a far more common and complex task to keep on top of with a loot pinata compared to any typical server.

This is the way.

Not everything will be for everyone, and that's okay, but no need for animosity towards that thing.
