Can we move Persistent Illusion to an earlier expac?

Its not game breaking in any way I can think of. Its pretty much QoL so you don't have to recast illusions/pet illusions all the time and after you zone. Personally I would say move it to the Luclin or PoP era.

Would be so nice for illusion addicts.

Honestly, they should just go all out on these kinds of changes. With recent things they've done just go all the way with it. There's no need to keep anything classic.

Enchanter illusions would be more fun since I believe they would persist through zoning.

The free pet illusions we keep getting would last through zoning.

Maybe a small boost in illusion sales since the illusions would be a little more permanent.

    All wins.

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not lol.

To be fair though you're not wrong. The "classic" concept of EQ (IMO) went out the door with motm, as well as all the nerfs/buffs classes have got over the years to make motm necessary. Pretty sure classic now has dragon hoard, key rings, mounts, depots etc.

So why not go a little further with some other QoL stuff like persistent illusion. Or even Tranquil Blessings.

I'm a somewhat classic purist but I also accept that we've gone beyond classic so they might as well keep going and see what happens.

Rogues have it tough on TLP let them ( and bards/chanters) keep the small window where they get it earlier than others or make it just a passive ability with no AA cost for those 3 classes, otherwise you take one fun AA those 3 get earlier than everyone and make it less unique

There’s little left of classic’s visual “feel” for PC right out the gate:
-Heroes forge armor already does the whole fashion quest thing.
-Weapon ornaments add a level of personalization as well.

Gone are the days where you know how accomplished a PC is based off the armor / weapons you see them wearing.

Permanent illusion would be another enhancement in this area.
So would putting illusion buffs in the Bard Song Window.

Be honest with yourself. Moving TB to an earlier expansion is way more than just a QoL thing. That's a massive power shift. You can bank a TB before every single event. Things like AA, CR, Auspice, Paragon would be available every target. Plus then you also have MGB available to use mid event.

Do I care if it's moved up? No, not really, but don't pretend it's anywhere near the same ballpark as something trivial like persistent illusions.

Come play on live! Then you get it.
While this itseft is a minor request, theres this wierd dichotomy of always asking for more things from live to be added to tlp, while at the same time people getting super angry when stuff from live IS added to tlp.

I don't personally see it as a "live" thing. I see it as a fun addition to the game. A lot of people are focused on when things come out and not that it was a good idea everyone could have fun with. Its the same with slowly unlocking the marketplace for cosmetics or things like global drops on holidays. Someone getting a hat or being in an illusion shouldn't be tied to specific expacs just because someone had the idea in that expac.

You're not wrong. Correct me if I'm wrong but don't those have like 10+ minute reuse when they are new? So you could TB them before a fight sure but won't be able to MGB it during a fight.

Either way I'd much rather see Persistent Illusion dropped earlier in a TLP. As Shamoo suggested make the rogue/bard/chanter innate if they need to feel special for the first few expacs. Also so they don't have to spend aa on it.

You hit TB before the fight starts and the next cast of those things will be MGBed, regardless if you're in combat or not. That's how "banking a TB" works. Theoretically, you can have two MGBs up and ready for a single fight since the TB is pocketed and ready for you to cast something that is MGBable plus the normal MGB still being available to click mid fight.

You basically have the rest of the fight after clicking those ADPS things + clearing + prepping for next event to get the ability back. That means the15 minute timer will most likely be up or close to up.

You also go from having those things clicked maybe once per fight to literally every person of class being able to just rotate them each event (which normally means 3+ every fight).

Yes, it's very strange. You have some people who want every seemingly QOL that Live has received over the year immediately rather than just letting things play out naturally and witnessing the evolution of the game/class firsthand vs people who will cry to the heavens over the trivial things being added. But then you also have this weird group of being being hyper selective in what they want added depending on how it benefits them or doesn't benefit them.

P.S. This isn't to say OP is anything what I described above. It's just an amusing trend you see all the time on these boards.

I try to pick the things that won't break the game in some way. As you said TB may be a little OP in the earlier game. Its nice though for rebuffing after wipes. The illusion thing can't break anything I can think of. And I do think more people would be apt to buy things from the marketplace if the illusion last much longer/through zoning.
