I know this is not news. I came back to level my alts for double experience weekend. I had the great misfortune of dead ending on two Heroic Adventures in the Bixie Warfront because of completely bugged steps. Bugs: --------Crizlyna #1: Assault the Main Hive I reached the final step where you have to kill Butterfly Carvers before they kill the Quivering Butterfly. The carvers kill the quivering butterfly within a minute making it humanly impossible to DPS them down. I tried everything from AE aggro, AE mezz, AE stun, debuffs, to nuking. This bug does not occur for the Level 105 version. It seems to occur between Levels 85 and 100. Methinks the quivering butterfly HP or butterfly carver damage output is not properly adjusted for lower level players. Other players have made the same complaints on Allakhazam. http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=7269 ----------Kraklest #1: Endless War I had the misfortune of escorting General Sagrinta on the final step only to see her fall below the world. I could not /target her. I had to log out in disgust after both sessions. It is really discouraging have HAs and my time go to total waste on these final steps. I hope the devs can look into these HAs so that others won't have the same fortune as I.
There's one in DH (Gribble) as well, his third one. Every time I've gotten the one final step (something about planting something on graves), it's bugged, cause there are no graves. Tat
You silly boys, Daybroke doesn't want you playing COTH HAs. I sure hope you don't actually expect them to FIX the HAs.
Not at all, just giving a heads-up to save others wasting time like I did. Also, when you're having an issue with a mission, heading to ZAM to check the posts for that quest couldn't hurt. I wandered around for about 20 minutes looking for the graves. Finally went to check ZAM, and saw posts that it was bugged, and had to drop it Tat
I wouldn't mind the bugs if they weren't on the very last step. Falling at the finish line makes it sting so bad. lol.
Fortunately, for that one, you can see the step when you enter the zone. So, if you know what to look for, you can just drop the task, zone out, and get it again, until you get one without the bugged step. If there are others where you don't know you have the bugged step til later in the task, then that would definitely fall under the heading of "don't ever do this quest again"
Zenmaster you can do #1 - punt the carvers out the window...have snare on them. Make sure your burning all your peeps. Shhh dont tell anyone!
Thanks. I'll try that out. Did that work for an HA below level 100? I had 5 of 6 Carvers fully mezzed but Quivering Butterfly still died. I wonder if it may be a timer mechanic though.
Yeah. Bixie Warfront is step by step. You can look ahead in Assault the Main Hive but you have to complete a few steps to get into the hive. I swear I get Butterfly Carvers more than 50% of the time at Level 105 - so discourage for my lower Alt). Don't recall General Sagrinta spawning until last step in Endless War.
I'd tell you all to find something else to do - stop torturing yourself doing the same boring missions - but the new ones don't work either lol
Lots of assumptions in that statement Just cause you can remember enough to post about a mission doesn't mean you do it a lot. Tat
Assumption nothing. Fact, people grind these missions every day because there is a daily exp reward waiting at the end of that rainbow. Fact, I can't stand repeating Heroic missions over and over - I've hated that kind of thing since Creator and Nest missions and even before that in LDoN. Fact, just doing progression in TBM will net you a few thousand AA's. The XP leaks off the ceiling.
You weren't talking to "people", you were talking to us in this thread, with nothing to back up the assumption that all we do is grind HAs. You posted an emotional opinion that added nothing to the subject of the thread, because >you< don't like to grind missions. For all you know, we don't either. In fact, pointing out problems with missions is aimed at people who don't like to grind missions. Anyone who does grind them already knows all about the issues. The posts are a help to those who don't grind. Tat
