Broodlands not accessible on Ragefire / lockjaw due to tunnel obstruction not dropping when expac released. Anybody home?

Do all of the retread servers just skip the cave-opening quest? I seem to remember having to give a helmet or something to a gnome . . . its been quite a while since that expansion first came out so my memory is a bit fuzzy
You're talking about this quest. http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=3057 That quest was removed it looks like. I know they have had to work on that barrier multiple times because it keeps bugging out.
That's too bad, the flavor quests could be interesting for some expansions. Have any of these servers made it to VoA? Presumably they don't get to build the blimp, eh?
