Broken Key of Sands Bug

On the - "Defeat the attacking sandstorm champion" step with the giant fort- the sandstorm champion did not spawn at all. To make it worse, there doesn't appear to be any way to make him spawn again if he doesn't spawn so I will have to restart the quest.

He spawned for me right after I posted this and was leaving the area- apparently he does not spawn on *update. So I don't really know if this is a bug or not- but with the orc camp the orc spawned on update.

I noticed things get an update when you float down from levitating.

Pretty much the bane of every location update.

It took almost 5 minutes for it to spawn after the update. On another note (maybe not a bug) but do you have to get the key again after you do the first mission? Mine seems to have poofed and not on the keyring or anywhere.

You do, it's been reported but no confirmation if its a bug or by design.

Thanks that seems cumbersome especially if anybody plans on doing it for 12 months on multiple alts.

Yeah, it erases everyone's key too, not just the requestor.

only one person in group has to have a completed key to get quest. so as long as rest in group DON'T complete the key their none completed key and components don't poof so next time quest is get able next person can just complete key then and the group can do it again

This is the way. Get 6 runs out of doing the (pre?) quest in Sro.

The attacking sand guy never spawned for me either and I waited 15 mins or more. My group of 4 had all completed the previous quest and the quest tool showed the same for all 4 toons. I even got off my mounts to make sure there wasn't some problem with being 'levitated'.

I don't mind doing the quest again, but I need to hear drom DP about how to avoid this problem again.

Had a tracker to see if one was already spawned and left idle?

Yep I had a tracker. No mob.
