"Boxers keep EQ alive."

Again, Aradune is a boxing server. And the world is still currently undergoing a lockdown due to coronavirus. Many people are still at home. Other servers were crashing and had long ques prior to Aradune even launching.

Your correlation is not as strong as you think.

Once the lockdown is 100% over, and the initial RMT/Nostalgia surge ends. Aradune will be be like all the other servers before it.

    "LARGE box groups".

Correlation does not imply causation. Did you consider covid? How many more people are "working from home" or not working at all and have the free time to just play eq? Or how many came back just for the name/Brad? There is more going on here than "see! everyone hates large box groups! Everyonneeeee!"

One thing a lot of people aren't considering is that single players tend to dip in and out of the game often. People who are playing enough to raid don't. One is more stable long term, one is more beneficial short term.

I think it is important to look at this subject in a different way.

"Boxing keeps EQ alive" - should instead be regarded "Pro-Boxing CULTURE keeps EQ alive"

The reality is, that pro-boxing CULTURE clearly is not a winning choice if Daybreak wants to monetize EQ through TLPs. Limited boxing or potentially no-boxing (boxing unlocked at certain xpac) is what will be offered.

Many gamers get more dopamine when they accomplish something on a character that they cannot accomplish by themselves; as they had to rely on friendships/partnerships/guild organization to do so.

It really has nothing to do with the Karen meme, or jealousy of those who box to accomplish.

    It is all about dopamine.

This is why original EQ was a groundbreaking drug/addiction in 1999. It brought to the gaming market the dopamine release of social teamwork. in an accessible form when the PC market was making it to the lower income household. Couple all that with the popular allusions to Tolkien and it is no wonder why Sony nailed it.

Almost every genre in gaming has some form of multiplayer now FOR THIS REASON [social teamwork dopamine release].

Single player gaming gives less dopamine. This has been researched.

Every server is a boxing server.
