Better than rotations...

    DBG could have avoided the stress of enforcing rotations by simply forcing all raid cons to utilize the ADVL system and have it have no master looter and include anyone and everyone on the hate list. Maybe even tweak the need/greed settings so that need is only possible if you can actually wear or utilize the item.

    I get the idea of wanting to avoid doing things like that so that there is a "sense of accomplishment", but I think there's just no way around it - either they need the lockout instance system with appropriately tough mobs (PROVEN to be a good system), or if there is going to be contested content, somehow make that contention meaningful and not able to be skewed in anyone's favor. Which is nearly impossible to do since most people probably won't even agree on what is or isn't "skewing".

    If Landmark is any indicator, they're doing something similar for EQN, everyone will simply get loot or loot chance by being nearby.

    Yeah thats my intention Neverwinter uses this same thing. Everyone gets rewards from heroic encounters and the more work you put in the higher the chance of rewards are.
