As the title says, I'm looking for the best EW2 and Bixie HAs to farm the conjuration and evocation augs. By best I typically mean fastest, although if someone has had particularly good drop rates in a specific HA I would be very interested to know that info as well. I box a mage and enchanter, so take that into account when discussing "fastest" or "easiest." Many thanks in advance!
I thought that only certain tasks have a chance at the named to drop the Aug like I know the ewk conjuration is Estle #3
The way Augur set up the spawn percentages of the namers, it really shouldn't matter which HA you choose. The HAs wherein the PH spawns fairly quick have a lower chance to spawn a namer than the HA's that require a greater timesink to reach the PH/spawn point. Essentially, the fastest ones have the least chance to pop a namer. So the theory goes.
Yea, but the problem is that some of them are whack for what soe put vs what is actually do-able, like the Gnome dead hills ones giving around 200 currency for 10 mins of work, but other ones that are 15-20 mins only giving 140 range
The Protected Passage HA in WK is fairly quick but the named seems rather rare (did it maybe 150 times, with 1 aug drop that I didn't get). I've done A Helping Hand maybe 4 times, and the one time the named spawned it dropped the aug. My guess is that's just a fluke, but that's my experience For the conjuration aug, I got it on the first Bixie HA I ran, They've Gone Too Far This Time. However I wouldn't recommend grinding either of these. None of the Bixie ones are particularly grindable (though I never tried, maybe they can be), but for WK I'd suggest Protected Passage or maybe Seeking Refuge.
A guildie of mine got 3 evo augs all on helping hand but he ran it 100's and 100's of times...in my opinion it is one of the fastest to grind, with just a 2box I could get to the named in about 10ish mins/run I ran it probably 60ish never saw one
Helping hand has the best named spawn rate in my experience, seen 6 evoc drops in 80-ish runs. At least they have a tribute value now.
Everyone says that they do this HA in 10-15 min. I have a pretty fast killing box group and it takes me 30 min plus or minus a few min every time. How is everyone doing this one in half the time that I do it? Just swarm the zone?
For the evocation aug, definitely a Maria HA. The Estle ones tend to have more random emotes/clicks and such, Maria ones generally just straight kill 30-35 mobs. I ran Helping Hand a bunch, that one seems the easiest and fastest for me, and the named on that has a pretty small loot table. I already got my wizard the aug, but I still run HH every so often for exp...usually molo it in a lesson burn, though if friends join we crush it in 10-15 minutes or less.
Helps to have a real tank and lots of dps. Nothing hits especially hard or has that many HP, just pull 2-4 at a time and burn them down.
