I’m looking for the top DUO for hunting nameds / bosses through the expansions. Not leveling, raiding, etc, just who can kill the toughest nameds? Shm/SK? Shm/Cleric? Double Necro? What do you guys think?
A Shaman and some dps that can tank. I'd probably pick a monk. They have nice dps, can pull well, and can tank just fine with decent gear. Shaman and Sk would work, but would take twice as long to kill. Same with a Warrior, though it might be a little faster than an Sk.
Two SK's. Between double harm touches and Alliances and rugged handsomeness, what couldn't they beat?
I would say a Beastlord and a Wizard for named hunting duo. At level, a BST pet can tank nameds and also do reasonable DPS. The wizard can DPS and provide portability to the group with ports.
Another good combo is SK + Shaman. That is the route I go and have been pretty effective as a pair and in groups.
I just returned to playing, after a long break. I started at level 93 with my shaman/bard. Went to Shards, and have been able to duo all the name mobs I have been camping.
