Being hopeful but, Agnarr could use some fresh blood.

As I said earlier, their silence is all the official answer you need. As it has been as long as this game has existed.

You do realize that your kicking yourself in the so called Balls buy not having Agnarr free, Seeing as people that go to Agnarr with starting new characters wont pay for character transfers to live to progress right? I mean we are talking about the most limited server in the game...

    Nonsense.

Daybreak can't compete directly with P99's model and make a profit. They would be kicking themselves in the nuts to try.

LMFAO!!! Then the choice is obvious seeing as DBG holds the rights.. pull the plug on P99

Seriously who is wearing the pants DBG? or P99?
  5. Berkwin Elder

So tell me seeing as your the official Guru for DBG, are they going to shut down P99? or make Agnarr F2P?

Lol guess your official statement is silence too eh?
  6. Machen New Member

    Neither.
  7. Berkwin Elder

Why not seeing as all those people in P99 is lost revenue in Subscriptions to DBG? yet you are the master of DBG. and seeing all those kooshy numbers over on P99 must be really hurting DBG bottom line. Regardless if they play for free or not.

IF P99 got shut down and only a third of there numbers decided to play Agnarr that is a lot of lost revenue that DBG would gain.

    You know nothing, Berkwin.

Kidding aside, you are not correct. They aren't going to shut P99 down. It's been running since 2009. There isn't nearly as much overlap among player bases as you seem to believe. If for whatever reason P99 ceased to exist, very, very few of those people would migrate to Agnarr, lol.

Most of the P99 players will not be satisfied with DBG's product. If they did, they would be playing here.

The $15/month sub fee is not a barrier. They paid more than that back in 1999, adjusting for inflation. Twenty years later, I can assure you, they can all afford it if they wanted to.

Either way, Sundrake is correct. If DBG were ever going to shut down p99, it would have happened long before now.

Until it is actual proof of this. I stand by what I am talking about, we even have people in this very thread playing there stating that, if Agnarr was F2P they would play.

You say "keeping the game alive" but it sounds like you mean, "keeping Agnarr alive." Two very different things. I played on Lockjaw, Phinigel, Agnarr, and Coirnav. I consider Phinny my server still. What I acknowledge, though, is that servers come and servers go, and TLP servers come and go quicker than others.
  13. Berkwin Elder

But Agnarr isn't a total TLP is it? And 0 of you are offering solutions to the issue. with tunnel vision I might add.

Truth is as long as the server is Online this topic will keep being brought up until its resolved either by shutting it down. or opening the doors.

What are you even going on about, dude? There are no solutions to offer, because everyone pretty well understands what Agnarr was and is. It's a two year old Locked TLP. Why should they spend any effort whatsoever to change that because a couple guys would rather not cough up $15 [or 50c per day] for a month of EQ?
  15. Machen New Member

No, it won't. Six months from now no one will care, yourself included.
  16. Berkwin Elder

you know, maybe your right, this is becoming a less likable game to the point that. this game can tank all it wants. your right no one will care, not even you.
