    cant log into the game again, every server but AB was shown as down right before I tried to get back in on another account. Good day to take a nap.

    I wonder if the Everquest Next Landmark Launch has anything to do with the servers being down? I see in my mind's eye someone flipping the on switch to EQnext with a big, excited grin on his face only to see it resulting in the lights flickering followed by darkness over 2 city blocks

    Interesting how these servers that are just coming back up have "High" and "Med" populations according to:

    The little red message at the top of the main forums page was at least something, but if you checked anywhere else (like, say, SOE post tracker) you would not have known. The links that pop up in the client/launcher, as previously noted, are useless.

    No IT staff in their right mind would deploy something as major as that on a holiday weekend. Especially when server population is expected to be higher than normal this weekend.

    Yep, IT staff making the decisions would not have done that. This is the problem when MBA's or marketing teams with little technical experience have the final word. My respect for SOE just got a bit lower.
