Song-based item click effects are not affected by instrument mods. Without modification, the effects that would benefit are useless or gimmicky at best. By instrument mods, I am referring to the resonance effects: Singing Resonance Wind Resonance Percussion Resonance Brass Resonance String Resonance Here is an incomplete list of item clickies that it would affect: Composer's Greaves Selo`s Drums of the March Marrow's Song Denon's Drums of Declivity Sporali-Hide Drum Lizard Skin Wardrums Singing Stone Bracer Breath of Harmony Darkened Breath of Harmony Lute of the Flowing Waters Frost Inlaid Lute of Boreal Wind War Drums of the Rathe Tympan of Shrieking Anguish Prismatic Scaled Breastplate Breastplate of Vesagran Feran Hide Drum Aged Lyran's Mystical Lute Lute of False Worship Composer's Chestplate
Why should these be modified by instrument mods? This does not seem like a bug, Caster / Melee Clickies do not improve with worn focuses. Clickies stack with AA's but not Worn/Equipped things.
I fully agree, My Lizard Skin Wardrums collect dust in a bag of unused things because they offer a disadvantage over the song in every single way. They can lock up my song gems, they aren't modified my instrument mods, and replicate the song in every other way...so why would I use them over the song ever? "But Jhinx what if you forget to have Harmony of Sound up and you suddenly need it?" I fade, mem it with Scribble Notes in the time it takes for a hummingbird's heart to beat, then add it to my twist and move on. Why would I want a watered down version of the song?
That's actually not true. If a caster uses a clickie that casts a spell they could normally cast from their spellbook, it is focused by AAs and worn effects. So what is being requested here is that Bard song clickies receive the same treatment.
This works as intended for now, so I need to close this thread. Feel free to post feedback in another forum besides the Bug forum.
