    It is an NPC city/town. Those things are some of the holdovers that make this game cool. Why is there a need to have a banker in a dungeon? There isn't other than it adds to the feel of the place as a living city. Same goes for Chardok. There are a lot of little oddities that make OG EQ and the first few expansions interesting. I know a lot of people won't agree, but Kunark was my favorite expansion because of the feel of the zones. Sure the expansion can be finished quickly and doesn't have a huge amount of content, but before in game maps it was awesome.

    Zones were HUGE. They had tons of hidden things. Kunark really felt like a ruined civilization to me. Like I was doing some explorer level stuff. Plus, huge zones were cool in that you had to learn landmarks. To this day I still use the fallen pillar to go to Sebilis.
