Banestrike Feedback

    As a reward for completing Slayer achievements, we get the AA Banestrike.

    Another key to mash every 60 seconds (can be reduced down to 45).

    Problems are:
    • Yet another button to press. Wack-a-mole. This was well reported during Beta and the Devs agreed it was not good but they said there was no way to make it passive.
    • Range. Again, well reported during Beta that this new AA discriminates against casters by having a range of 70, which is a problem if you want to stay back further.
    You can avoid the button mashing by using a social to do something like Kick and Banestrike or Cast spell and Banestrike with one key. Banestrike is /alt act 15073.

    This leads to the problem of:

    being constantly spammed across your window.

    A full raid spamming banestrike's every time it refreshed would only do around 6k extra DPS. For indvidual players its just over 100 extra dps.

    Complete failure to scale damage to correct amount for level 100 players, Damage could be safely increased by around 20 fold.

    Compare this feature to the change to finishing blow that will turn mobs into fine red mist as so as they hit 10% and you see how bad banes are.

    Banestrike's only real purpose it seems is to give you a achievement for killing certain mobs.

    I still think that it should start out where it's at and have every achievement in the "Special" tab increase the range so that it's at 250 or 300 range when you've done it all...ould also have the "meta" achievements for them increase the range some more with each one completed, as well (either that or have 2 different for melee and one for casters. have the caster one be 'normal spell range' and be affected by focus).

    That and the "Conquest" tab of the slayer achievements should increase the damage Banestrike does with each of those you complete by 1-2k per achievement. There are 24 achievements in there. Could also have the "meta" achievements for them increase the damage by another 1-2k per one completed, as well. At 1k per achievement (including the metas) you'd gain 28k (including the "Megadeath" one) damage to the achievement...and at 2k you'd gain 56k. 56k might be too much, unless it can't crit...when you add in the base damage...but 28k + the base damage would make it much more usable.

    Either that or change the 'Banestrike' so that it's a debuff on the mob that makes it take more damage from spells and melee for ~12-30 seconds.

    Doesn't even work on raid mobs if I remember correctly?

    Banestrike will not work on any "raid" mob, which means mobs that say "This creature would take an army to defeat!" when you /con it.

    In addition, Banestrike seems to be huge amount of aggro. I'm not sure if that is working as intended or not.

    Neat idea, rendered absolutely useless by poor design. Doesn't even reach flair status. Literally garbage. Needs a massive damage boost and needs to work on raid mobs.

    But it can one shot level 1 mobs !
