backpacks / containers

so I went to POK and got my spells (lv 11).

Now I'm seeking backpacks or containers. I found the bazaar and they are super expensive, way beyond what I have for coin.

Is there a merchant in POK or some other way to get decent backpacks with out a lot of grind or other pain? I have ~40 pp

    Thanks for help.

What you want is Deluxe Toolbox, they are sold for about 1 pp in several places, if you want to go really cheap, buy some Mixing bowls for a few Silver coins each. Both of the items mentioned are for trade skills and you will want to open your options and make sure that Open TS List with R Click is checked. Just so you know both are 10 slot and hold giant sized items.

Which is why the Deluxe Tool Boxes are so popular. They are not tradeskill containers if you're not a gnome (most of the playerbase). You only need to worry about this detail if you are a gnome. And even then, you may not need to worry about it (I didn't do this on my gnome). There is a keyboard shortcut (Shift-B? Can't remember the default, I changed mine to just plain "b") to open all backpacks/containers. This is the only way I open my bags. When using this, it opens everything as a bag, not a tradeskill container.

Also, check /claim for the Dreamweave Satchel. Every char can claim one, and it's a 16 slot 100% WR bag that holds giant items.

Those only apply if you bought the HoT expansion.

Even if you bought a more recent expansion? (Honestly don't know, just wondering).

Yeah you do not get it buying later expansions. You have to have bought HoT apparently. I returned and bought whatever expansion was out at that time and while I got HoT and other expansions up to the one I bought I did not get that satchel. So I was Hot! None of my alt accounts got one either when I created them, even with buying TBM.

Ah, that's too bad, I didn't know that.

Still, there are several large tailored bags that can be made. The mats needed to make them are fairly trivial, if you're higher level (85-ish or so). I'd advise looking into collecting some of these mats, and finding a friendly tailor who will combine them for a small tip. You can start with the 12 and 14 slot bags (mats drop in UF & HoT). Then the 16 slot bags have mats from VoA, 18 slotters from RoF, and 20 slotters from CotF.

Also, keep an eye out for big sale in the marketplace, and then pick up some of the big bag packages.

Finally, if you get into tradeskills, you can also make the trophies. If you get the trophies to a higher level, you can use them to make a permanent bag with 10 slots, and if you get them fully evolved, you can use them to make a 12 slot bag, and a 24 slot tradeskill-only bag.

And finally Finally (LOL), there are 32 slot mat-only bags that can be made by tailors, that are very simple to make, again with fairly trivial mats.

While the list of obtainable bags by Outlander is sweet, the OP stated level 11 and 40pp, which makes high level adventures way out of reach. It is always good to keep track of the OP when responding to other posts.

This was great,I found the bowls pretty easy and bought a bunch for 1 silver each. they aren't weight reducing but made my life 1000 times better. However I couldn't find the toolboxes..no matter I'm happy. Thanks for the tip :)

If you look at the PoK map, the main library faces east, with the back of it to the west. There are three outer areas, to the north, east and south, and an area around the library itself, wrapping all the way around it. If you go to the north side of the library, still in the main part of the zone (so, the right side, if looking at the front of the library), you will see a cluster of buildings that butts up against the north side of the library. Walk up the steps in the middle of this cluster, and you'll have doors to shops on each side. Go in the door on the far left, and that will open into a hallway, with two doors on the left. Go into the far left room, and there is the tinkering vendor who sells the deluxe toolboxes.

And if you take a moment to read, you'll see that the first bag can be done by anyone in PoK, and the second bag can be done by anyone with a zone connection map and a free hour. I even said so.

That first bag is a must have for any starting character.

/my coffee is wearing off and I'm getting grumpy.
//that bag list isn't mine, but needs more exposure. Helped me a ton.

Tatanka's directions to the vendor with Deluxe Toolboxes are good but if you want to make it easier:

Use the Find tool (Ctrl+F) and create a magical path to the NPC named Nelin Signus.

He probably meant to refer to my post, where I talked about gathering mats in UF and up (level 85). I did miss that he (the OP) was low level and plat-poor.
