How do I / can I reclaim guild leader position from inactive characters?

I am the original founder of the guild, it is even named after my main character, when I retired from guild leader ship it seems the tag was handed around a few times, now all those characters and officers are inactive.

    Any help?

Also even though I can sign into the forums and account management I can not /petition or log into the section of the website for customer service.

Added bonus, several of my accounts are so old there was no security question and some of those have been added since I retired!

Ok lets start with why you cannot file a petition? Do you get an error? There is no reason you should not be able to file a petition. Try a different browser. Sometimes it can be a pain to work around it. Not sure what you want to file a petition on since your able to get into your accounts?

Now to the guild thing. They came out with the command /usurp because so many guild leaders just stopped playing and leadership was lost and others still in the guild wanted to keep it going. I don't know if that will work for you since it sounds like they had permission to hand it around. Be aware - if /usurp does not work then don't bother to petition about the guild. They are hands off guild issues, doesn't matter if you birthed the guild yourself, they will not interfere.

The /usurp command can be used by a senior officer to become guild leader. The current guild must have no leader, or the current leader must have been offline for at least one year.
Also, officers can take leadership of the guild with the /usurp command if no leader or senior officers have been online in the past year.

As far as the security question - no one added those unless someone was using your account. Right now you would add your own security question during account creation or when you go to change your email. But they do not add it for you. So if you don't know it then it was not DBG that did it.

They do have what is called 2FA (two factor authorization) which is an extra security measure that players can put on their accounts if they want, But if the player steps over the line by doing something suspicious then DBG will force you to set 2FA up with your cell phone.
