Are You A Loremaster? (Legends of Norrath)

Ive opened about 50 packs on my twink account, no special loot card yet, and she's level 10 just from opening packs. I used all my triple station cash for cards, all the loot tourney cards and then Debt packs, nothing.

Considering how rare loot card normally are, I would assume the bonus ones are around .00001% chance to get one. Probably just a push to make more money from soe. Tell everyone there's a chance for bonus loots and all the suckers give them money.

I can 100% confirm I got loremaster loot. I got it on my first 3 packs after the patch. Haven't got anything in 20 packs since. Too bad I got a familiar of Nagafen =/.

they match the pack, locked packs give locked bonus loot, this was confirmed by lon dev on their boards.
I've opened 50 packs, received 8 normal loots but no bonus loots.

Right now I have a 7% bonus loot chance. That 7% doesn't mean I'm supposed to get a bonus loot in 7% of packs, it means when I actually pull a loot card, theres a 7% chance i receive a bonus loot. The odds are basically awful.
Based on my 50 packs, theres like a 16% chance to pull a loot card (1 in 6 packs). Then after that 16% I have 7% for bonus loot. I think it comes out to overall a 1.1% chance to pull a bonus loot.

Even if you max loremaster at 10%, you still only have a 1.6% chance to pull one. And this is only using the 2 latest expansions that have increased loot drops.

Don't look at it in terms of chance per pack, just per loot card. Maxed out a 1 in 10 chance per loot card is pretty good. I opened 36 packs for 7 loot cards (no bonus ones), and being able to use station cash for cards makes it a real good deal.

If nothing else, this will hopefully revitalize the LoN trade market again as people have a bunch of loot cards they don't want.

So far I have managed to make Loremaster 15,and I have a 7.5% chance of bonus loot. I have opened 329 booster packs, which I used triple SC and traded loot cards for. I have received 6 secret surprises from those packs. 3 Aspect of the Brood, 2 Familiar of Lord Nagafen, and 1 Kiss of Erollisi Marr. Not sure what the percentages are, but in those same packs I have gotten 56 loot cards.

I think a few of you are misunderstanding how the system works :

So, you only get a chance at Loremaster loot if you manage to get a loot card.

So if your lvl 10 you have a 5% chance of getting an *additional* Loremaster loot if you get a loot card from a booster. Im not sure what the chance of loot is, but lets say you get loot on average with 1 in 10 packs, you have a 5% chance of that 10% chance to get that additional Loot.

It does not mean you have a 5% chance of getting Loremaster loot in any booster, if my math is right it would actually be a halft percent (.05%) or 1 in 200 boosters would provide a Loremaster loot (or 600$ for loremaster loot !)

Mind you ... my numbers are fictitious.

One cool thing is now you have a record of how many packs you've opened and how many loot cards (doesn't count the hundreds to thousands you already opened, but still).

39 packs in at Loremaster level 12 I received my first bonus loot (on 9 loot cards), so insert success baby image here!

So when was this changed? I received 2 Aspect of the Brood back in May, and I know a lot of people that received one of these items from this list. But its been changed (checked LoN forums and patch notes, did not see anything saying the Loremaster loot had changed.

This month two of my accounts had a loremaster loot from free boosters. One of them received Idol of the Fallen and the other received Mask of Nurga.

Is there an announcement I missed? And is there a new list of all loremaster cards available now?

Before this "revamp" I received many loot cards. Since almost none and the ones received are crap.

I pulled a loremaster loot Brood this morning. I've been tearing open packs on the regular since lore master went live.


Stats as of 8/2:

Packs Opened: 1,394 (you are welcome sony and LoN devs/team whose kids I'll put through college)

Loremaster Loot: 26 (4 broods, 3 enticers, 1 fallen, tons of others, I'm a eq1 only guy)

Foils: 279

Loot cards aka Treasure!: 216

Ultra Rares: 2

Loremaster level 20 (10.0% Chance for Bonus Loot)

I have no idea if first set of loremaster loot crads are still in pool for random chance ether are if new card have replaced them entirely.

You can check current loremaster cards in LoN. Just create a dummy trade and click the loot tab. Change the filter under rarity and it will show all the current loremaster cards. It looks like they're still the same.

Sadly, they still haven't fixed it so folks can try LoN in game without crashing.

It's been how many years now they're aware of the bug, yet they force the downloads?

There are more than that. I received a Mask of Nurga as a loremaster loot also.
