Smed just said they scrapped the previous design of EQnext. There is nothing to show this year but next year at SOELive they will show something that can be demo played. Everything that was previously designed for EQnext is trashed. The new one will be the "biggest sandbox style mmo ever"

Because teaming up with companies worked so well with SWG.

And Shang, it did work well. Wasn't LucasArts' fault that SOE wanted to mimic another game and gut the existing one. Or have you not seen Smed's mea culpas on Reddit?
