Allakhazam Progression Wiki

Hello folks, Gidono from Allakhazam here.

I am currently working on a wiki for the progression servers and wanted to get some input on what information people would like to see on the site for this wiki. I know that we're lacking expansion specific information that is unique to the progression servers and that is what I aim to get information on. There is much work to be done for all of this.

If you would like to help out with this project, anyone who has an account on our site can edit the wiki pages even with 0 posts. It doesn't cost a dime, just sign up and edit away. At some point, our biggest contributors will gain admin status and with that comes premium and all that jazz at no cost. Below is the link to this particular wiki.

This was basically just started yesterday so it is bare bones right now. I've been working on getting Luclin spell information so it's a work in progress. I plan on adding additional information for spells but for now the basics is what I'll do. Keep in mind that I am a volunteer admin so I don't get paid to do this

Anyways, what information does everyone on the progression servers constantly search around for that is missing? Need more input.

Any chance you could add an expansion field to the spell database? Offhand, this would be the single most useful feature that you could give the progression community. There are other sites that have this info, but don't have the spell details. Having it all in one place would be very useful.

Would you like me to add the information on the voting system I wrote up for Risiko? Not sure if this is the sort of thing you are looking for.

There is already an expansion field in the spell database. It just doesn't display the field when using the spell search at the moment which is something I hope we can get our developer to add soon. The expansions will show however if looking at the spells individually. Some of the spells might be missing expansions. As I've been going through Luclin spells I have came across quite a few that were never marked with an expansion.

Yes that would be great if you would add that.

It would be ideal (for progression server folks) if you added expansion as a field in the search results. There is plenty of room for it if you condense the class field. Maybe include a check box in the search window to include expansion field (could even be off by default so live users won't be affected.)

While I've got your attention, one more thing that has been driving me nuts for the past year or so. In the past, you could search for "Progression through xx expansion" eg "Progression through Rain of Fear" and it would come up immediately with the progression page for that expansion. I'd guess about a year ago, you all changed the way your search engine worked, and these pages no longer come up on search -- either the quick results in the search box, or the full results after you hit enter. As the progression servers hit Gates and later expansions, these pages are going to be very frequently sought out by Allakhazam visitors and it would be great if they were easy to find once again. Either that or some other way to find a quick link to each raid for each expansion, that is intuitively obvious to people. For the latest expansions you have them linked under the wiki dropdown, but there are a whole lot of expansions that aren't linked there and have progression pages.

What about adding when the next expansion unlocks/opens for voting?

Could you maybe fix the spell database so it properly displays the numerical ranges on spells that change with level rather than showing garbage numbers?

I've got about 2 pages worth of bug fixes that need to happen for the site and that is one of them. Getting ZAM to give us developer time to fix it is another story. We are limited in developer time spent on the site. I'm hoping to get our item collector dev access to the allakhazam site so he can fix those issues. We'll see what happens.

I believe this is caused by the wiki search not working so the search engine is not picking up wiki articles. This was something I communicated to ZAM recently and haven't heard back from them on it yet. Maybe after the holidays we might get someone to take a look at it and if it is a easy fix, then maybe they will fix it fairly quickly.

However I have most of the past few expansion guides listed on the front page on the right hand side and also in the main everquest wiki page. The main Everquest wiki link is on the front page too on the right hand side, or you can just click on the Wiki link at the top of the site where all the other wiki information drops down. That main Everquest wiki link you see should see guides go all the way back to PoP. However some of those old guides lack quite a bit of information or only contain lore information and need a lot of work. It doesn't seem there is much interest in people working on that stuff though. Maybe we can change that and get people interested in editing those pages.

Wiki search is now fixed. If you see any expansions not listed under our main Everquest wiki page at http://everquest.allakhazam.com/wiki/ let me know. I think I got all of them that actually had some useful information.

one minor thing. Fippy Darkpaw is now working on The Darkened Sea expansion.

Hey folks. I'm looking for information on revamped zones. I can crawl through patch notes all day long and find them. However just because it's in the patch notes during a particular expansion doesn't mean that's how the devs intended them to release on progression servers. It makes sense to bundle particular zones with certain expansions.

What I need is what particular zone revamps do we currently have on the progression servers that are at Luclin? As in which revamps have we already had up to this point? I know phinigel started out with PoH revamped version as in there is no second floor anymore. PoF was revamped with Velious along with another revamp of PoH in Velious (I think this buffed up Innoruuk and certain other NPC's were added, need info on that).

I think lockjaw/phinigel/ragefire has a revamped version of the zone Cazic Thule as well. Temple of Droga as well?

Also for the other progression servers that are way ahead, what expansion did they get these revamps at?

Well the only revamped zone so far other than the Hate/Fear changes is Cazic Thule.. It changed with Luclin

But you got it right so far...
Fear was revamped with Velious
Hate started 2.0 minus the Velious armor off the higher end mobs. Once Velious hit those mobs started dropping the dropped Velious/Growth type armor for the classes not in Growth. Hate gets a minor change in PoP/LoY era or LDoN in which Inny gets his upgraded loot table
Nurga/Droga revamp goes live in Gate of Discord
Splitpaw revamp according to another post goes live apparently X days after Rallos Zek is killed in PoP
Veeshan's Peak revamp goes live with GoD also I think
Veskar while not a revamp goes live with LoY I think

Veksar and VP revamp are both LDoN

ah no.. according to patch history Veeshan's Peak revamp went live July 14th 2004.. Thats clearly GoD

but they released them during PoP on Fippy/Vulak

well its on the boards now with correct dates they were launched so you guys are screwed.. I'm sure by next patch they won't be lol

Well they have stated (Somewhere on these forums) that those are both going live with LDoN this time around, I just wish I could find the post. If they really were GoD according to patch history then they don't care since previously they were released in PoP and according to DBG Veksar and VP revamp will go live with LDoN.

I wish it was only as simple as looking at patch history.
