Ae debuffs landing on self much more easily?

It seems since last patch that ae debuffs (shaman wind of malos, enchanter ae mez) are landing much more easily on the caster. I know that there was always the chance before but it is close to 100 percent of the time now.
Has anyone else noticed this?

Do the sarnaks reflect spells when they have that short ability that ripostes melee as well?

Not sure about this, but this was happening on mobs without that ability.

I've noticed especially that Wind of Malo has been hitting me with the Pathosis debuff basically every time I cast. It's really annoying as I use this on raids for adds or even single target mobs in camp as it's an instant cast.

Means that I have to hit self-purify when it's up and definitely started happening in the last month or two.
