AA parser now available

With the help of mackal of EQEmu, I've been able to add an AA parser to raidloot.com. So you can now see what the values behind your passive AA are:

    http://www.raidloot.com/AA.aspx

Check out Gift of Mana 10 and it's 192 rules :)

For those of you that don't know, all the spell information that various websites use is downloaded by the game and readily found in the EQ folder. AA data has always been more difficult to get at because it's not made available in the same way.

I now have a way to gather AA data using packet captures of a game session - sort of like Magelo Sync and Lucy Itemcollector. The initial data that I have is a little out of date and mostly covers the autogrant allowance (except for the ranger class which I've been able to update myself for max AA). If you would like to help fill out the other classes the instructions are here:

Working on a druid AA capture.

This should be stickied so we can keep all pertinent info up to date. Seeing how short the resources are at DayBreak Games on the EQ side.

Thank you, this is a great resource!!! :)
  5. Tarvas Redwall of Coirnav, now Drinal

    That is pretty neat.

    144 Enhanced Root (1) 59 5 / 5 - 1: Increase Chance of Root Breaking by 50%
    5825 Viscid Roots (3) 76 7 / 17 - 1: Decrease Chance of Root Breaking by 40%

Do these use the same spa so they actually are working against each other?

Either that, or a negative means something else.
  9. Rykard Augur

Awesome!!!! Thank you for your efforts. Tested paladin class and can view about every AA including level attainable.

Very cool. Sent CLR and BRD.

Is there any way this could also show what SPAs an AA uses?

    ex:

    This is either SPA:
177 = Double Attack (Chance to Double Attack)
225 = GiveDblAtk (Double Attack Skill)

Would be nice for spell viewing as well.

    This is awesome, thanks :)

    Enhanced Root is:
    Ability: 244 Base1: 50 Base2: 0 Slot: 1

    Viscid Roots (3) is:
    Ability: 244 Base1: -40 Base2: 0 Slot: 1

So either SPA 244 uses an absolute value or the devs have coded it wrong.

Helps you appreciate the amount of work the AA dev has to do in every expansion, doesn't it?

Well, GoM now has every previous version of GoM built into each new version. So it's not quite 192 rules. It's the same 24 rules repeated 8 times, once for each level range.

169: Cast: Gift of Mana 101 to 105 on Spell Use (10% Chance)
    170: Limit Min Level: 101
171: Limit Type: Exclude Combat Skills
172: Limit Max Level: 105 (lose 100% per level)
173: Limit Min Mana Cost: 10
    174: Limit Effect: Current HP
175: Cast: Gift of Mana 101 to 105 on Spell Use (10% Chance)
    176: Limit Min Level: 101
177: Limit Type: Exclude Combat Skills
178: Limit Max Level: 105 (lose 100% per level)
179: Limit Min Mana Cost: 10
180: Limit Effect: Current HP Repeating
181: Cast: Gift of Mana 101 to 105 on Spell Use (10% Chance)

Sure, it will now show the SPA in a tooltip if you hover your mouse over one of those lines.

Hastened Strong Root according to the description is 25, 40, 55%. You are calculating it opposite since you show values of 75, 60, and 45.

I'll make sure to ask on Monday for them to check into how that SPA works to see if those are conflicting.

If it's not a bug my guess is a negative number modifies the target's roll and a positive modifies the casters roll?

As I was adding your link to this to my wiki, I noticed I had this link on my wiki:

SOE Current AA Status thread - A single place you can reference for AA updates.

This link to a thread on the SOE EQ forum now leads to https://www.daybreakgames.com/home which is obviously not the thread. I think the thread title was Current AA Status - Always Check Here First! and maybe it was Elidroth who did it.

Does anyone know if this still exists somewhere? I can't even find it archived anywhere. Is this another idea that was dropped?

Is this something we would want Daybreak to bring back? Should I start another thread on this instead of hijacking this one?
  18. beryon Augur

Pretty sure that was a beta thread.

This is very nice. I have a minor suggestion regarding nomenclature.

Below are two descriptions of the same AA. The first from the raidloot.com parser, the second from Allakhazam.com

    Raidloot.com
    Intensity of the Resolute
    Target: Self
    Duration: 60s (10 ticks)
2: Increase Chance to Critical DoT by 50%
3: Increase Chance to Critical Heal by 50%
4: Increase Chance to Critical HoT by 50%
5: Increase Chance to Critical Nuke by 50%
8: Increase Hit Damage by 55%

    Allakhazam.com
    Intensity of the Resolute
    2: Critical DoT (50%)
    3: Critical Heal (50%)
    4: Critical HP Regen (50)
5: Increase Spell Critical Direct Damage Chance by 50%
8: Increase All Skills Damage Modifier by 55%

The raidloot description for the first four effects is, in my opinion, clearer than Allaks. I'm not so sure about the line marked 8.

In my world (that is, as a ranger) I expect 'hit' damage to refer to archery effects, physical spells such as focused arrow swarm, and perhaps some miscellaneous other stuff - IDK, maybe H2H. It is not, however, slash, crush, or pierce damage.

As I said, it's a minor suggestion, but I think the phrase 'all skills' is more descriptive.
  20. Viper1 Augur

'hit damage' would be anything that can hit a target, and conversely, can also miss the target. So I think most people would understand 'hit damage' to include melee damage as well as archery damage.
