A trader system that works.

The existing bazaar/trader/barter/buyer set-up does encourage one to have at least two accounts, which is a win for them. Don't see that changing any time soon.

Perhaps if there was a fee (like a new perk) and they could leverage it (or the code) across multiple
games to cut cost. If so, the rest of us could go back to selling bags under a torch.

Not that there is anything wrong with being some shifty character selling questionable goods out of a
    soiled bag by torchlight :D

Eliminating the 2M coin cap is one of the biggest things they can do to gain favor with the masses.
Maybe not as big as eliminating all Lag, but it is way up there on many lists.
But it is complicate and no real profit in it.
Still much ripe fruit on lower branches.

    "Now, here's how to order".

One thing that I hope is kept is that the current "sell from anywhere" mechanic for selling to barters is absolutely fantastic. I also love the bazaar from anywhere, even if I have to visit a parcel merchant to pickup my delivery. It's like Amazon on the road.

Other things I'd like to see fixed:

1: The ability for a small number of players to massively profit and corner the tradeskill/krono market by buying up all of everyone's stock and reselling it at high volume/slim margins. A built in 50% markup on certain items maybe?

2: Some sort of price check on overpriced items, intended to grief or victimize players. Like if you buy something and there's one that is priced lower, you get a dialogue box to auto purchase the lower priced one.

This is a for profit business, maybe they could offer a Bazaar slot only usable on All access accounts, still allow only one function buying or selling. In my case I have buyer and seller, on my mains accounts so when I want to use the mains, the baz bots go down, but am fine with that. The Baz bot could use bank storage, but be created at level 20 or less and never level. and when there is a patch, the Bazbots have to be reloaded, or reloaded to take stuff off or restock. Also the Bazbot can only be active on one server at a time, so if one is loaded on server A, the bot slot does not show on any other server. Darkpaw continues to make profits, players get to use mains on a server as desired, and we carry on. As to price limits, should they be increased to say 10 or 20 million, it would just bounce inflation faster than ever, and I know folk who have trouble affording things now.

Not really there never very many buyer up maybe around 30-50 at tops and its always the resellers thats are in buyer mode. being able to buy and sell at the same time would be nice. Better yet why dont they just make a marketplace 144 slots per char isnt enough and 2m pp limit is kinda dated. #1 thing is i like to sell and be able to play on my same account as is i gotta wait til its late and nobody buys from me before i usually play my mage which is on my main account. Its just lame with all the limitations of the baz trader.

If you were able to design an "trader system" you wanted, what would it look like?

Personally, I'd love to see a system that:
1 - Makes it difficult to "game" via bots.
2 - Able to buy from anywhere, but pick up and sell from fixed locations like the parcel vendors.
3 - Adds some risk of "loosing" money if you just pump and dump and no one buys your junk.

Sounds a lot like the auction house system in WoW which seems to work well.

Gearing up the last week, I've noticed items in the bazaar going for less than my buy lines. Someone
could have made close to a million plat if they had noticed. In some cases, my buyer may have been
down due to patching or whatever, but not all.
Along with people not checking, guess there is no bot checking barter vs. the bazaar, which is good.

    I kinda wonder about this.
There are those who play the bazaar game and have billions (no idea why they play eq monopoly).
Then there are those who are studious with their vendors and have tons of money.
Lastly there are those that never have a ton of plat.

Raising the price cap in the bazaar will have the net effect of raising prices of everything. Theres alot of stuff that people would charge more plat for than they could, but dont wanna bother trying to sell for a krono or a few million plat in chat for hours until they get a bite. If the bazaar could do 5million plat, a ton of stuff there would skyrocket in price.

Who does that help though? Mostly the people with piles of plat already. The idea feels like it would make your excess plat useful, but after an adjustment period not really. It would just make you either more poor, or do nothing cause you still have too much plat.

side note - i wonder if changing the plat limit is prohibitively diffcult due to how the bazaar was coded. Its been requested for so many years, and theres a reason why they haven't. It might be my earlier idea of causing inflation, but it also might be technical.
