4 Hour Queue - Instantly Kicked - 288min on Timer

Sunday at 4pm 183min queue which took 4 hours to finally get in. My character was last in EC. Log in, instantly start moving and immediately kicked into a 288min queue.

My frustration level is growing beyond all reason at this point. This is a 20 year old game.

Can someone from development or customer service please tell us what is happening? The exp bonus is POINTLESS when you cant even log in to use it.

    Annoyed.

I'd wager roughly 90% of the posts for the past two weeks have echoed this exact sentiment.

For whatever reason, they've demonstrated through their utter lack of communication that they don't care.

The xp bonus is more than pointless, it actually makes it worse. Bigger incentive to get in NOW and stay in. Working people don't stand a chance. Unsubbed due to the silence and poor decisionmaking. Hope to come back in the future but right now they need to fix their product.

Queued for six hours played maybe eight minutes, character was in a low population zone, killing a few mobs for tradeskill materials, crashed straight to desktop. It would bother me less if I didn't know with absolute certainty that there were 100's of people staying online with auto-clickers.

Who's bright idea was it to give away %25 bonus XP when they didnt even fix the server issues. You are adding wood to the fire. I appreciate the gesture, but how about fix the game first?

The instant crash to desktop is the most frustrating thing. What's causing it? People arent logging out because they are setting up scripts with mouse software and can you blame them with a Queue of 4 hours?

FIX THE SERVERS. This is a joke!!!

This has happened to me twice today. Over 9 hours in que and adding and about 35 minutes of playtime. What an awesome game to come back to. You guys are knocking this out of the park.

Here is what I think they are doing. Why spend time and money trying to fix it when if they leave it as is, most players will just stop playing. They get the money from you sucker re-upping your subs and quitting and they just sit back and figure out what is the next way they can screw over the customer.

I'm curious because personally haven't ran into the specific problem of crashing to desktop shortly after log in (or in my case at all) since the queues have been enacted. And please don't get me wrong, I don't like waiting 4 hours to play either, but I would like to start a conversation of troubleshooting the crashing with you guys if I may.

May I ask what zones (I know the original poster said he was in EC) and what part of the zones you guys were in? Is there a way for you to generally lay out the specs in which you run EQ under currently? Are your options tuned towards lots of particle effects and other environment effects?

    Lack of communication?

I'm sorry they do not posses the power to fix issues you want corrected in the blink of an eye, but to say they're being silent is just a flat out lie.

Don't scoop to the level you're claiming them to be at.

In the same boat. But perhaps I'm to blame? I spent half the day in queue only to run to commonlands to buy a spell, tabbed out to look at aradune auction discord and my eq client just closed.
Was disappointed to say the least. Crashed twice on aradune and both times have been in commonlands.

'We know the servers are bad' isn't communication, and two weeks after a planned launch for a server type that they've done before is not a 'blink of an eye.'

You're more than welcome to head down to their stuidos to give your god sent knowledge how to fix this issue.

Fact is, they've communicated when you claimed they did not. Sorry it wasn't the type of response you expected, but to sit there and say they did not is pretty bologna.

Some are understanding, others are not. I understand Darkpaw and Daybreak are an underfunded, understaffed, arguably a dying company. They don't have millions of dollars at their disposal to throw at a game when, as you stated, they've done this before. And they know eventually the hype will die out and the server will become stable on its own.

This server is popular, extremelyt popular. That and the fact we're in a pandemic, still have more users on unemployment than ever before. We're going to see a massive increase in population. Which is going to draw instability issues.

But hey, go to Ebay, maybe they have one of those magic waving wands you can go outside of their building and wave it around to fix this issue you think is so easily fixed
