  1. Regazozo Journeyman

You want the most out of your character?
Here is a list I have devised to help out. Please note that the order is relatively correct for the largest power jumps. Relatively because you will hopefully be working on some of the later stuff while you are doing the early stuff or vice versa.
First thing is get to Max level. I don’t mention AAs because you will gain them while doing everything on the list below. You should do some research into the order of how you distribute them.
    Group Gear
Tier 2 EOK Group Gear (permanent click buffs/AA) + Augments; this includes Type 3 augments which can be purchased in Drowned Katta Castrum. Type 5 augments which can be purchased in TBM or EOK with Heroic Adventure Coins. Note: TBM HA coins are tradable. Also TBM and EOK have rare-ish dropped Type 5s that can be bought on the bazaar. Type 7/8 will be the longest part of your gear farm, as the augments come from numerous places. Some research will be required. Note: Take a look at a few of the higher ranked Magelo’s for your class to see what is being used, this helped me a lot. Don’t get hung up on this part to much, while doing progression I upgraded several augments just by chance. Also do not forget to put purity augments in your gear, 35 purity are rare drops in EOK, 25 purity augments you can get for pocket change on the bazaar.
Two more Type 3 Augments of Note are:
Stone of Judgment +10 Dodge, can be farmed from The Judicator located in Plane of War
The Tears of Alaris +5 Defense Attk 20 HP Regen 10 Mana Regen 10 End Regen 2 Heal/Spell Dmg/Clairvoyance 20
Short quest followed by lots of farming. I would suggest putting this off until later as it is extremely time consuming for a nice but relatively small upgrade.
Make sure you upgrade all of your abilities & spells to Rank 2, the items to do this are bazaar buyable and also fairly easy to farm.

    Epic’s 1, 1.5, & 2.0
I am not 100% sure that all classes benefit from their epics at 105. I did so it’s on the list. You will need to research and see if you should do these early or wait till later on. The quests are trivial at this point, simply requiring you to put the time and effort into it.

    Progression
    Call of the Forsaken Rewards
10/5/10 Heroic AAs, Permanent Click Buff, Trophy, and Hero’s Calling Augment.
Weapon visual ornaments & Illusion item
    The Darkened Sea Rewards
10/5/10 Heroic AAs, Trophy, and opens up zones to farm more powerful power sources.
Weapon visual ornaments & Illusion item
    The Broken Mirror
10/5/10 Heroic AAs, Trophy, Dicho Upgrades, and Relife Adornment Augment.
    Empires of Kunark
10/5/10 Heroic AAs, Mount /w Permanent Buff & Fastest Speed, and Forgotten Gemstone Augment (Type 5) Note: EOK requires all the hunters be completed in order to receive all of the Heroic AAs.

    Artisans Prize
I will leave this for you to research on your own. This is a massive undertaking which includes maxing out trade skill & doing all of the Planes of Power Progression. It is a massive jump in stats, the most powerful augment in the game.

    Trials of Mata Muram
This is trivial and will add 50 resist to all magic types.

You can skip this if your character is a Heroic boost.

    Good Luck!

  2. Caell Augur

    Good list.

If not Heroic should get either of these done:
Evil aligned: Dragons of Norrath Progression (Dark Reign) or
Good aligned: Dragons of Norrath Progression (Norrath's Keepers)

If Heroic then finish off Tier 5 of either one (for some reason the last tier is not completed on Heroics.)

If you want an easier way to get a Fast Mount upgrade (use mount once and it will upgrade most other slower mounts) acquire through bazaar or a friend the six tradeable items then turn in Gold Ticket (again buy in Bazaar or in PoK from loyalty vendor) for Glowing Black Drum (might get Guise of the Deceiver, but once you have one you can only get the other) at King's Court Casino, read through the notes in the links for details.

  3. Jumbur Improved Familiar

Casters might benefit from the specialization-skill-mod% augs from CotF. And if you plan on doing artisans prize, you might as well do the prayer-shawl quest-line too(aug with neat proc and raid-version has ok stats), from velious-UF-RoF.
  4. Regazozo Journeyman

I had forgotten about the DON AAs thanks for the reminder.
Prayer Shawl could be added to the end of the list for sure, it's slowly getting phased out though. Next expansion could make it irrelevant or they could add to it, it's never a bad idea to get things like this done. Thanks for the comments!
  5. Jumbur Improved Familiar

Maxing the journeyman compass is also useful for most classes(permanent runspeed increase, and you get a primer on zone-connectivity :) ).
The trade-skill quest that adds extra mercenary slots(mercenary recruitment?) in pok.
The quest in ferrott that lets you hire the top tier mercenary(if you haven't already done that, or SoD-progression).
  6. AlmarsGuides Augur

  7. slayerofbats Augur

Could maybe tweak Almars Guides on the DON Progression part. It says to do the evil side because it is easier, but when doing the faction to become indiff with the evil peeps, my evil character only needed to do a few tasks, but my high elf needed to grind one of tasks well over 20 times which took ages :( Good guides though.
  8. Jumbur Improved Familiar

I always thought the fastest don-progression was the one that matched your alignment, good races do good side, evil races do evil side, unless of course you are progressing in a mixed aligned group, or are of a neutral race.

I choose the good side, because I am a froglok...
  9. smash Augur

    There mention about power sources.

Power sources are something that will give you an extra small amount of stats. They are however not going to last forever, they use up the power after some time while you wearing them during fights.

For them to Work, you need to have some armor which has purity on.

You can at first get some player made, there 1 special in RoF, and then new ones come in TDS expansion..

At level < 90, it will give you a nice amount, then first ones, at high level, the amount is low compared to your hps at that point.
And the extra you get from using a 35 purity aug compared to a 25 aug, is not big.

An important factor is that now ALL purity augs require a perfect aug remover to remove the aug from your armor to use on new one.

They sold at markedsplace or loyalty vendor.(If I remember right).

It is too expensive to use, if you are leveling up fast.
