Perceived errors? Saying that the grounds is a dungeon isn't an actual error and is just a perceived one? Saying that the dead hills is a zone from RoF instead of CotF isn't an actual error and is just a perceived one? Also are you just using a chat bot to respond to posts?
This, If, EQ neatly labeled its zones, mobs, quests, faction, etc. So AI can help players. AI will inform the player these mobs, they are humanoids, do not summon, hmmm this is gonna be a good ranger headshot area. Can you generate a dungeon that me and friend can duo with mercs. "Sure boom LDoN dungeon 2 player friendly with mercs" Right now, LDoN is somewhat customizable but you need a group group or be really well geared. AI customization would be, looks at your gear, looks at who your with, boom done. Have fun in EQ. LDoN 2.0, featuring AI generated dungeons! Boom. It made the list! The list of MMORPGs that uses AI, Everquest, their dungeons generated by AI, go check it out. player pop increase "really enjoying EQ with LDoN 2.0, me and friend we are having a good time going from level 1 to 125 doing these, the variety of what we can ask the AI and how it provides its awesome. I love asking it for 2 person dungeon that is outdoor jungle fighting sirens, Piq`a and Rytuks, keeps it fun." EQ scaling? Broken, they don't even fix it. AI, oh this mob was hitting too hard, let ME FIX THAT. Try the dungeon NOW. "this is good, now its fun, thanks" EQ there is heroic adventures don't even scale right. EQ does nothing. AI dungeon creation, wouldn't have this issue. This is a newplayer, returner coming back and catching up, roadblock, distracter, thing that makes them quit. Gone now, less reasons of people quitting. All thanks to AI.
It would be great if that was possible but we have already seen how badly attempts at scaling content have failed in the past.
Here's my suggestion ... if this is something you strongly believe in .,. fill out an application for a dev job and implement it.
They’d be better launching a Kickstarter with Unreal assets, and some good marketing material discussing the future of gaming using AI. Include, some good screenshots. Maybe through in some more tech bro concepts like NFTs, to get some more backing.
SEO has stunk up google results so bad that the basic google search is almost useless You have to basically append all searches with reddit now to get anything of value
Just read an article saying that Nvidia is working up an AI that can be designed into games. Not ready for prime time, but they are getting there. https://www.extremetech.com/gaming/nvidia-brings-generative-ai-to-npcs
I know but you have to get going while others get going too. You don't wait till others are completed. You wait till others are done, your behind, your working on catching up, they are off to better things. Is EQ a catchup game now? Behind everyone, wait to see what everyone does. Catches up. Old Direct X, old UI, old bit system. Barely scrapping. Thats quickly falling behind. Look at the state of UI, EQ fell behind, its rushing that product because old way is becoming no longer supported other reasons, yada yada. Thats what happens when you wait, and quickly fall behind, rushing the catchup process. Get going now, that way don't mess again and again and again. AI is here, its here to stay, get it going now. Good way for EQ to get its feet wet with AI is, TLP 2024, AI generated zones Every expansion unlock unlocks an additional AI generated zone. So the team has time to work on AI every expansion unlock to make AI do all the work to make a zone. I already asked AI to make a zone, it came up with Zone Name: Serpent's Spire Level Range: 75-85 Theme: Ancient Jungle Ruins Difficulty: Challenging Description: Serpent's Spire is an overgrown jungle zone filled with the remnants of an ancient civilization. The zone is divided into multiple tiers, each containing different areas within the jungle ruins. The environment is dense with foliage, towering trees, and hidden paths. Monsters: Venomous Snakes: Agile and venomous snakes that strike from the shadows, posing a threat to unwary adventurers. Tribal Guardians: Savage humanoid warriors who protect the sacred ruins with their deadly melee attacks and primitive magic. Jungle Spirits: Ethereal beings that possess nature-based magic and can summon powerful allies to aid them. Serpent Priests: Priestly figures skilled in both healing and dark serpentine magic, casting curses and debilitating spells. Open World Raid Boss: Name: Xal'zith the Ancient Serpent Description: Xal'zith is an enormous, ancient serpent that slumbers deep within the heart of Serpent's Spire. It awakens periodically, wreaking havoc on the surrounding area. Difficulty: High Number of Players: Recommended raid size of 24-36 Xal'zith possesses a variety of devastating serpentine attacks, including venomous breath, crushing constrictions, and rapid strikes. It may also summon lesser serpents to aid it during the battle, making it crucial for the raid to manage adds while dealing with the boss's immense power. Defeating Xal'zith would require strong coordination, precise positioning, and efficient healing and DPS output. The raid group would need to adapt to the boss's mechanics and execute their strategies flawlessly to overcome the challenges posed by this mighty serpent.
AI isn't something that happened overnight - it started in the '50s. Saying' it's here do this easy boom is nice in theory but not as simple as boom. It's not an add water and mix solution to the game you describe that began it's existence as part of the MMORPQ gaming community started the games we now know. EQ will evolve as will other games, but none of them will be an add water and mix boom to allow a player to have an individual play experience without creating either a separate server with different rules or an entirely ground up game.
Tangent time. AI to help boost self-esteem??? https://www.theonion.com/guy-who-sucks-at-being-a-person-sees-huge-potential-in-1850488022
You really don't understand the point or design of TLPs. They have zero new content. In fact, one of the big complaints for this year's TLP launch is that there wasn't two servers starting with only the original content unlocked. Those who recycle on TLPs only want to play in the OLD content. If they wanted new content each year, they would be playing on Live. That might work for a purely TEXT-based game but with a game like EQ, you need to have Art assets like 3d terrain. You need to have NPCs that are animated and can, in many cases, equip items and use those. You need the geography of the zone to be navigable both for player characters and NPCs. You absolutely do not know anything about game development and design as well as being wholly ignorant of what AI actually can and cannot do in 2023. Each wall of text post you make about it only exhibits more your ignorance of everything you post. But, if you want to try a game solely designed and developed by AI, I am sure there are some Kickstarters you could back. Not that they would actually produce anything in within the next decade or more, but you could back them and pay them not to make what you think is possible.
You also have people asking that they develop new content for the TLP servers with excuses for not playing on live servers that they don't like how the new content turns out.
