We’re just two weeks away from launching our newest TLP server. Oakwynd, the new Evolving Ruleset Progression Server, is launching May 24, 2023, at 12 noon PDT. Thanks to many who shared feedback with us after the announcement made in the recent Producer’s Letter. Here is what we recently covered on the forums that has been changed for Oakwynd’s launch: Agents of Change instance-locking will be character-based instead of account-based. Note that this rule will be attached to the Legacy Characters Ruleset, so if future servers get the Legacy Characters Ruleset, they will also experience this change. All “No Drop” items that are NOT “Free-Trade No Drop” will automatically be Heirloom items. This does not affect items that are already Heirloom; they will stay Heirloom. Note that this rule will be attached to the Legacy Characters Ruleset, so if future servers get the Legacy Characters Ruleset, they will also experience this change. Omens of War and Dragons of Norrath will be combined and unlock on the same day (with the normal one-hour gap). This change is for Oakwynd only and there are no current plans to apply this to Yelinak. With the launch of Oakwynd, we’re also changing up bag bundles that will be available through our Packs page on the website: “Trying Toxicologist Bundle” will be replaced with the “Lorisyn's Lament Bundle.” “Vexing Vermin Bundle” will be replaced with the “Lyirae's Languish Bundle.” This will be your last chance to nab the Trying Toxicologist Bundle and the Vexing Vermin Bundle for your new Oakwynd characters to /claim after launch! Do note that it's no longer mentioning FTE in this update a day after how poorly implemented it is currently became obvious. Seems like writing on the wall for preparing a formal retraction of "this needs a ton more time to consider" to me.
Agreed with Tucoh. Thinking this is anywhere near ready for production is insane. The FTE feature isn't even ready for QA.
Since the FTE feature appears to be horribly broken, if you would simply state it will not be implemented on launch, we would be greatly relieved.
Indeed - I'm someone that can see the benefits if it's implemented well - but right now with the current state, I'd be far happier having a server launch without it breaking it and maybe coming back around to test it large scale once the glaring issues appear rectified on a small scale. (And preferably in the mid-expac timeframe where there's often a bit of a wane, that should be lessened due to the nature of the Legacy portions of the ruleset) Or door #2 - a second TLP with Legacy + FTE that launches in a few months once the rough edges are fixed.
no mention of FTE, is it not gonna be on oakwynd then? please? I tested it on test, and its no bueno.

As others have said, please remove the FTE system from Oakwynd launch until it can be fixed. Lowering spawn times on all mobs on the server would be a great substitute that can be implemented quickly and make the server feel fresh and different.
If training and kill stealing are what FTE goes out to solve, know that there are SO many better alternatives that are FAR less intrusive than meddling with core game mechanics. Please, it's totally broken in many ways and fixing them will start the cycle of adding more bugs which opens the window for more and more exploits. Leave FTE on test for some weeks or months, get it sorted out and if you get a crowd of people excited about it, launch a server on its premise. The majority of us, we are playing a 24 year old game, and not interested in being beta testers.
At least Diablo 4 is only 2 weeks after this launches. Wont feel like Im missing out on this server at all.
After testing FTE last night on the Test server, FTE really means First to Exploit. This is more than a bad job, ITS SCARY TO WATCH.
