Why ? You know what's being patched.
So why post "Test update today. Details to come."

We cant have nice things because people complained when part of the patch was pulled after it was announced.
Szilent, Rijacki and Svann2 like this.

Don't worry. We'll still get to do that.

    1. Post Test Notes
    2. Get Feedback on Test Notes for a week
    3. Post Live Patch Notes (possibly/probably remove something that was included on Test)
    4. We complain!
    What could possibly go wrong?
  4. Svann2 The Magnificent

    Is there something special expected?

FTE is getting patched to test today in preparation for the upcoming TLP launch later this month.
  6. Svann2 The Magnificent

Oh ok. That should be fun.

    Just a guess:

If, when they attempt to bring the server up after the patch, there are major issue(s) with one of the things to be patched, they might decide to remove that feature from the patch and do it later after more debugging.

I don't think having to wait a short amount of time for the patch notes is a problem. This is the Test server, which means anyone who plays it cannot expect (Darkpaw makes this clear) any assurances at all about what is added and removed, as well as uptime.

While they do let people play test and enjoy it, the primary purpose is testing. Darkpaw, I'm sure, is very grateful for those who play on it but anything there will be sacrificed if needed for testing.
