What EQ monster would you want as a playable race?

I also have a vote in for Gnoll. Having an option to start the game with an illusion in Blackburrow, Crushbone, etc would be cool. You start the game as a deep cover spy. Ultimately you are a wood elf ranger or a human from Qeynos but you get your mask and have some newbie quests, ultimately leading up to a sinister betrayal of Fippy. Also a good option for a monster mission, but just do our base classes with illusions on.

Nobody called out random newb yard mob? Does anyone remember that short period of time back in 2000 (i think it was then, might have been 2001) when you could log in as a random snake, rat, skeleton, etc in the newb yard and attack players? That was some fun

Not really want to play a monster as a race and I think that most of them will get boring pretty quickly, but for the fun of it:

If you are an illusion collector like myself, then you can already play as most, if not all, of the suggested "monster" race.

I would like to have an Illusion: GM in-game. Preferably one with a really big hammer.

How about a gnome with a hammer 3x his size?

A normal size hammer is three times the size of a gnome anyway.
